00:00Hi, my name's Beth, I'm Director of 3rd & 4th Shropshire Festivals, and we are at Shropshire Business Festival.
00:05It's our second year at Beacon College, and we've got over 68 exhibitors, we've got absolutely loads going on.
00:11Everything from VR, to learn to drive a lorry, grab an ice cream, grab a burger, have a go at axe throwing,
00:20loads and loads of activities, we've got talks, we've got demonstrations, we've got car racing behind me,
00:27I've got office furniture, the whole point of this festival is that it's interactive, you come, you network,
00:33you learn, you do business, and you smile throughout.
00:37So is this an annual event now then Beth, it's your second year, so are we established with this one yet, can we say that?
00:44We can say we're established with this one, but we're looking at growth plans for next year,
00:49so always with our festivals we want to get bigger and better.
00:53So, Beacon College has been absolutely amazing, and this is a fantastic site, the sun's come out,
00:58because people are driving lorries around, and it's just so lovely to see people working in the space,
01:03but we do need more space.
01:05So, anyone got any big space out there for car parking, it's absolutely lovely to get in contact,
01:11but we do need to grow, but I have to say the feedback has been amazing,
01:15we've had over 700 people sign up for the event, which is mind-blowing.
01:20Yeah, 100 people signed up for the Visit Shropshire and Telford Tourism Expo as well this morning,
01:26so it's been great, couldn't have asked for more, and after a couple of months of rain, we've had sunshine.

01:50Silent Seminars, what are these funky headphones all about Beth?
02:03Well, I can't tell you because I can't hear you.
02:05So, we've got the Good to Great stage happening at the moment, and so on here I can hear the seminars happening,
02:12but the people who are listening to the seminars can't hear all of this background noise that's happening around us.
02:18So, the idea is that you can come, you can sit down and listen to a talk,
02:23but actually we can still have it in a buzzy environment, and so it's quite nice.
