Losing is part of the process

Losing to FEU and losing in general is part of the process for UST in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament.

That is why despite absorbing a 19-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-20, 15-10 defeat to the Lady Tamaraws at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium on Saturday, April 13, the Golden Tigresses are holding their heads high, open for lessons in store for them.

00:00 We had a good move, but our usual move was unstable.
00:12 That's what we're looking at now, how we can improve.
00:18 We're just going back to the hardcourt.
00:21 We're not going to show how we prepared for this game.
00:29 But we didn't make a mistake.
00:32 Especially how we stopped the opponent, Bacang Kento.
00:39 It was hard. We made a lot of moves.
00:42 We were 21 points behind our defense.
00:47 Those are the things we're going to look at.
00:50 We learned a lot for the next games.
00:57 Until we finish the second round.
01:01 Coach, how did Angepon do in the 4th set?
01:07 He was out for a while, and then he came back in the 5th set.
01:10 He was a bit shaky.
01:14 Aside from the moves, I didn't ask if he was tired.
01:20 I asked if he was getting cold.
01:22 I asked if he was getting cold.
01:29 He was feeling cold.
01:32 You can expect a lot from scoring.
01:37 But he was 100% feeling cold physically.
01:41 He was a bit unstable in the last few days.
01:53 It's unfortunate because our last game was a bit...
02:00 The numbers were still there, but not that high.
02:02 But that's what we were missing.
02:04 But actually, it was a good move from F.E.U.
02:10 Our unforced error, especially in the 4th set,
02:13 was a bit heavy.
02:15 Three consecutive errors, especially in the game.
02:19 What if we controlled it, especially in our service?
02:23 The possibility was that the ball would go like that.
02:26 The tendency is that it's easier to go to the other side.
02:30 F.E.U. had a higher morale at that moment.
02:34 That's why they got it.
02:36 They brought it to the 5th set.
02:38 We had a counter, but that's it.
02:41 That's all.
02:43 The best thing that happened to us was that we were complete again.
02:49 In a way.
02:51 Coach, you survived despite the loss.
02:53 From the court to the crowd.
02:55 This was the first game of the UAP.
02:57 In the 90s.
03:00 Yes, bring back the old memories.
03:04 I think I was in the 3rd year of high school in 1996.
03:11 The first time I was able to play for Manila.
03:14 That was during the time of Johan Butor, the U.S.T.
03:20 We were going back, but it was a different era.
03:24 We were there.
03:26 Despite the loss, we're happy that F.E.U. and U.S.T. still have the tradition of going back to the highest level.
03:42 Our players' capacity.
03:46 The prestige, the pride of the school.
03:49 It's beautiful.
03:51 The fair play is there.
03:55 We're happy that F.E.U. and U.S.T. are still there.
04:01 Congrats to F.E.U.
04:04 They deserve to win today's game.
04:07 You needed to get the lessons to play.
04:12 That's the best part.
04:13 We're not losing the game.
04:14 We're learning on it.
04:16 That's the best part.
04:18 We tell the kids to just play the game.
04:21 Because that's where the pressure is.
04:23 It's a good start.
04:25 We're still students.
04:28 That's what we taught them.
04:30 Just look up straight, chin up.
04:32 We lost, but that's the takeaway of learning.
04:35 That's what we'll bring.
04:37 Look ahead.
04:39 Whatever we have, move forward.
04:42 Accept the loss.
04:44 We embrace that we still need to push.
04:48 Improve.
04:49 We need to be more experienced.
04:53 We can't just give up because we lost.
04:56 No.
04:57 It's still part of the process.
05:00 No expectations until it happens.
05:05 We'll build on that.
