00:00 Fresh off a Supreme Court win, TAS Racing Chief Executive Andrew Jenkins ready for round
00:07 two of his fight with the state's biggest harness stable.
00:11 We have issued show cause notices and the board will consider submissions under show
00:17 cause should they be received.
00:20 Ben Yoll, Tim Yoll, Mitch and Nathan Ford have one week to argue why they shouldn't
00:25 be issued fresh warning off notices by TAS Racing if no submission is received it would
00:31 mean the quartet would not be able to participate in racing in Tasmania as a licensed trainer
00:37 or person.
00:38 The four were named in the Murrahee report that investigated allegations of race fixing
00:43 and animal welfare concerns.
00:45 The previous attempt by TAS Racing to warn them off was overturned by the Tasmanian Racing
00:50 Appeals Board but that's now been quashed by the Supreme Court.
00:54 In a statement reappointed Racing Minister Jane Howlett said she'd sought an explanation
01:00 from TAS Racing about the situation and that action needed to be taken urgently.
01:05 But the government's own Office of Racing Integrity has so far refused to stand down
01:10 the four participants despite having the power to do so, leaving TAS Racing to go it alone.
01:16 TAS Racing is standing up today to do what the Office of Racing Integrity and the Minister
01:21 for Racing will not do and it's to finally stamp them out of this industry.
01:25 It is unfortunate that both the government and the Office of Racing Integrity are not
01:30 backing up TAS Racing here and in terms of strengthening the integrity regulations when
01:34 it comes to the racing industry.
01:36 TAS Racing is also concerned about the ease in which Mr Yole has been able to transfer
01:40 the ownership of some of his horses into his father's name and it's written to the Office
01:45 of Racing Integrity seeking clarity.
01:47 I won't provide any further comment but we did correspond with the Director of State
01:52 in our view.
01:53 TAS Racing has also tightened rules around the amount of runners a single trainer can
01:58 field in a race.
01:59 If no response to show cause notices are received by late Thursday, TAS Racing will be free
02:05 to effectively ban those implicated in the Murrahee Report.
