00:30 He took her in while trying to find the perfect family.

00:40 We knew that there were probably gonna be challenges
00:42 with the way her formative few months have been.
00:45 And she comes in, wouldn't make eye contact.
00:47 She wouldn't look at anybody.
00:48 Just glued herself up against the wall.
00:50 My husband got down on the ground, got right next to her.
00:53 She was so scared, she didn't want to move.
00:54 She wouldn't take a treat from me,
00:56 but she took it from him, which was at the time,
00:59 if you could have seen it, a miracle.

01:02 She warmed up to my husband like instantly.
01:06 It was crazy.
01:07 Actually kind of odd for me in a sense
01:11 that a lot of times abused dogs are scared of males,

01:18 She imprinted on him and that was the end of it.
01:21 At that point, we knew that we could give her
01:25 what she needed to thrive.

01:30 We knew that this was probably gonna be hard,
01:34 but there was just no way that we could not have taken her.
01:37 She just realized she was safe
01:39 and she was just soaking up that attention.
01:41 She is everything that's pure in this world.

02:22 He was a dog person, but once she came into our life,

02:27 His heart went out to her,
02:28 but he had never had a dog that was as affectionate as she is
02:32 and I think that just melted him.
