00:02 One time.
00:03 And then we delete the evidence.
00:06 Welcome to WatchMojo!
00:08 And today we're counting down our picks for movie endings that had us rolling with laughter.
00:12 And while we will be incorporating scenes that continue into the end credits,
00:15 we won't be including sequences that take place in the middle or after the credits.
00:19 'Cause that's a list all its own.
00:20 And naturally, spoilers ahead.
00:22 This time, foreign exchange students.
00:24 Awesome!
00:25 In Russia.
00:26 What?
00:28 [Speaking Russian]
00:31 Number 10.
00:33 Beetlejuice.
00:34 There are many reasons why Tim Burton's Beetlejuice remains a beloved film
00:37 some 35+ years after its release.
00:40 Beetlejuice.
00:40 Beetlejuice.
00:43 Beetlejuice.
00:48 It's showtime.
00:50 One of those reasons is Michael Keaton's turn as the titular troublemaker.
00:55 The actor's hilariously eccentric portrayal was on full display in the movie's ending.
01:00 After his expulsion, we catch up with the Juice in a bizarre
01:02 netherworld waiting room full of outrageous characters.
01:05 An impatient Beetlejuice does what he can to skip the line,
01:14 but gets his head shrunken for his troubles.
01:15 Whoa! Whoa! Stop it!
01:18 Whoa!
01:19 Hey, this might be a good look for me.
01:23 The laughter is then paired with toe-tapping,
01:25 as Winona Ryder's Lydia closes things out with a mid-air dance
01:29 to "Jump in the Line" by Harry Belafonte.
01:31 Rock your body! Rock your body, child!
01:34 Number 9.
01:35 The Simpsons Movie.
01:36 The Simpsons' long-awaited big-screen feature
01:38 did not disappoint when it came to delivering laughs.
01:40 Spider-Pink, Spider-Pink, does whatever a Spider-Pink does.
01:45 With plenty of the adult animated series' signature gags,
01:48 the Springfield gang continue to bring the funny right up to the film's close.
01:52 With the city being rebuilt after the events of the movie,
01:54 we find Homer and Bart rebuilding their family home.
01:57 Steady...
01:59 Uh, Dad?
02:01 Shingling the roof, Homer, surprisingly,
02:05 hammers a nail successfully.
02:06 The problem is, he does so into his leg.
02:09 Don't!
02:09 The doting dad then proceeds to run around
02:11 and rip up all the shingles before falling.
02:13 This while Bart busts a gut laughing.
02:15 Classic Simpsons.
02:17 Number 8.
02:17 Some Like It Hot.
02:18 Talk about ending a movie in a comically memorable way.
02:21 The Marilyn Monroe starring crime comedy, Some Like It Hot,
02:24 absolutely nailed its ending,
02:26 bucking censorship rules in the process.
02:28 My friend's chosen me.
02:30 You wanna be a bridesmaid?
02:31 Well, pleased to meet you.
02:32 Come on!
02:32 She's so eager.
02:35 After witnessing a murder at the hands of the mafia,
02:38 two men, played by Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon,
02:40 go on the run by disguising themselves as women.
02:42 The iconic ending sees Lemmon in drag,
02:45 telling an infatuated character, Osgood,
02:47 all the reasons why they can't marry.
02:49 I can never have children.
02:52 It's then that he rips off his wig and reveals that he's a man.
02:54 I'm a man.
02:57 Well, nobody's perfect.
03:00 That may be, but this ending sure was.
03:02 Number 7.
03:03 Deadpool.
03:04 And now, for the moment I've all been waiting for.
03:09 Nobody closes out a superhero film quite like Deadpool.
03:12 And if we were talking uproarious end credit scenes,
03:15 Deadpool 2 would certainly take the cake.
03:17 Hey, it's me.
03:18 Don't scratch.
03:20 Just cleaning up the timelines.
03:22 However, there's no denying the Merc with a Mouse first film go-around
03:26 ended in classic Deadpool hilarity.
03:28 After executing baddie Ajax,
03:30 Wade turns to Vanessa to profess his love.
03:32 When Vanessa takes off his mask,
03:33 it's revealed that our hero has another underneath,
03:35 one of Hugh Jackman's face.
03:37 And this one.
03:38 In case the other fell off.
03:42 Just when things look to end on an overly sentimental note,
03:44 Deadpool pulls out a phone playing Wham's Careless Whisper.
03:47 Wham.
03:48 As promised.
03:50 Poole then provides some comical commentary and camera direction
03:53 to send the audience home laughing.
03:55 Pull out.
03:56 There we go.
03:57 That looks nice.
03:58 It's gonna be the only thing that's pulling out tonight.
03:59 Who doesn't love a happy ending, huh?
04:02 Number 6.
04:04 Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
04:06 Few would have guessed going into Quentin Tarantino's
04:08 Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
04:10 that the story would culminate with such a hilarious twist ending.
04:12 You're a good friend, Cliff.
04:15 I try.
04:20 Prior to hitting cinemas, the plot was kept airtight,
04:22 and all we knew was that it somewhat involved the Manson family.
04:25 And with Margot Robbie playing Sharon Tate,
04:27 we assumed Sharon's tragic fate at the hands of the Manson crew
04:30 would play out as it did in real life.
04:32 But come the fateful night in the film,
04:34 things take a surprising turn.
04:35 Can I help you?
04:43 Entering Leonardo DiCaprio's character's house instead,
04:45 the murderous pack is dealt with in a brutal yet hysterical fashion.
04:49 Who knew a flamethrower execution could lead to such laugh-out-loud comedy?
04:53 Number 5.
04:54 This Is the End.
04:55 This Is the End is a raucous comedy featuring real-life celebrities
04:58 playing elevated versions of themselves during an apocalyptic event.
05:01 Starring the likes of Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jay Baruchel, and others,
05:07 the comedy comes fast and furious.
05:08 The film's ending is no exception,
05:17 as the movie reunites the majority of its protagonists in heaven.
05:20 When discovering he can do anything he wishes,
05:22 Baruchel unexpectedly requests a Backstreet Boys performance.
05:25 Anything?
05:26 With the famed boy band performing "Everybody Backstreet's Back" in heavenly attire,
05:40 the rest of the cast take part in an epic dance number to close out the film.
05:43 [crowd cheering]
05:45 ♫ Backstreet's back, alright! ♫
05:48 Random? Yes. Hilarious? Very.
05:50 Number 4.
06:00 Tropic Thunder.
06:01 There are many memorable characters in this Ben Stiller-directed comedy film.
06:05 However, fans were perhaps most surprised by the stunning transformation
06:08 of mega-movie star Tom Cruise.
06:10 Appearing as Surly studio exec Les Grossman,
06:12 Cruise is nearly unrecognizable in his bodysuit and balding wig.
06:16 Who here has a key grip?
06:18 You.
06:19 You.
06:20 Hit that director in the face.
06:24 When the film ends with Stiller's Tug Speedman winning an Oscar,
06:27 Grossman celebrates with a hysterical choreographed dance to Ludacris' "Get Back."
06:31 Cruise shows off some seriously entertaining,
06:38 not to mention impressive dance moves.
06:40 ♫ Yo, stackin' black, yo ♫
06:41 ♫ Still action-packed, and dope ♫
06:43 ♫ I keep it flippin' like Acrobat ♫
06:45 Thanks to this finale, the renowned action star showed
06:48 that he has no issues tackling outrageous comedy roles.
06:51 Number 3.
06:51 Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
06:53 Leave it to Monty Python to deliver a hilarious fourth wall-breaking finale.
06:57 By the end of Monty Python and the Holy Grail,
07:05 King Arthur and Sir Bedivere are on their way to storm the castle Arrgh.
07:10 "Jaaaaaarrrrrgh!"
07:15 But when the call goes out and the mad rush begins,
07:18 things are interrupted in an unexpected way.
07:20 Yep, a police car and paddy wagon enter the picture.
07:26 Turns out the Bobbies have been tracking the knights since a murder in Act 2.
07:30 A befuddled Arthur and Sir Bedivere are then taken into custody.
07:33 The switch to a handheld camera is a great touch,
07:36 as it eventually gets knocked down leading to the end credits.
07:38 "Alright sonny, that's enough. Just pack that in."
07:41 Number 2.
07:42 22 Jump Street.
07:43 Hilariously self-aware, the filmmakers behind 22 Jump Street leaned into the fact
07:47 that the film was a somewhat unnecessary follow-up
07:49 to the very successful franchise reboot, 21 Jump Street.
07:52 "Man, you literally, yo, this is the best thing ever!"
07:56 If there was any doubt about this though,
08:00 then you do not need look any farther than the movie's ending.
08:03 It's here that we are treated to a series of setups for new missions
08:06 that play out as teasers for an abundance of sequels.
08:09 They include the duo going undercover at everything
08:18 from a veterinary school to a top gun-like academy.
08:21 "How about a flight academy?"
08:22 We totally watched 30 Jump Street, flight academy by the way.
08:30 Did we mention there's also amusing cameos from Bill Hader and Seth Rogen?
08:33 "Does she look any different to you?"
08:35 "No, that's Schmidt. I don't know what you're talking about, man.
08:39 He look exactly the same to me."
08:40 "I got new glasses."
08:42 "Yeah, man, he just got some new glasses, man. Goddamn."

09:01 The Hangover.
09:02 After a wild night in Las Vegas for a bachelor party,
09:04 a group of friends wake up with little to no memory of what happened to them.
09:08 "Goddamn. Look at this place. I know. Phil, they have my credit card downstairs and I'm so screwed."
09:17 "I mean, how does a tiger get in the bathroom? He almost killed me."
09:20 The movie sees them retrace their steps in an effort to find the missing groom
09:23 and deliver him to his bride on his wedding day.
09:25 By the movie's end, however,
09:27 photographic evidence is discovered of their debaucherous adventures.
09:30 "Guys, one time. Deal?"
09:33 "Deal."
09:34 "Deal."
09:34 "Okay."
09:34 "Oh dear lord."
