00:25 Let's start with Chris Paul and just to play it at his future Hall of Famer.
00:28 We saw what he did this year with a Thunder team that was really devoid of a lot of big
00:31 time talent after they lost their two big stars.
00:34 He came in there, had that team as one of the top seeded teams in the Western Conference
00:37 when they did the playoffs down in Orlando in the bubble.
00:40 And also taking into consideration the Phoenix Suns and their roster, 8-0 in the bubble.
00:45 They also have one of the best starting fives in the NBA.
00:48 You put Chris Paul in that, it makes it much better.
00:50 Not to mention the fact Chris Paul has a very good relationship with Suns head coach Monty

00:55 So I think Phoenix could be the perfect destination for Chris Paul and I am for that, making
00:59 them a Western Conference contender.
01:02 You know, Ben, is the case against being that, of course, you would elevate them to playoff
01:06 team but not necessarily championship status?
01:09 I think that's definitely part of the case against, right?
01:12 That there's no doubt that I think he would make them better and you have to give the
01:15 Suns a lot of credit, right?
01:16 8-0 in the bubble and certainly a franchise on the rise.
01:19 But really, how much of a difference is Chris Paul going to make them?
01:22 Are they going to be better than the Lakers?
01:24 Probably not.
01:25 Right?
01:26 The Nuggets, again, another team that's on the rise.
01:29 Dallas, you assume, is also going to be better and Houston still could be at the top of the
01:32 West.
01:33 So while I think Paul does certainly elevate the Suns, I don't know how much, you know,
01:37 he really brings them to the title conversation.
01:39 Now that being said, if I'm still Phoenix, though, I still might make this trade because,
01:43 you know, Phoenix hasn't made the postseason since 2009, 2010, that season.
01:48 They have just one winning record in that span.
01:51 So if you're a Suns fan, you know, it really shouldn't be championship or bust.
01:55 Maybe it should just be playoff or bust.
01:56 And if playoff or bust is your expectation, then I think acquiring Chris Paul might actually

02:03 Yeah, I think it comes down to how broad your definition of the word contender is.
