00:00After what may be one of the biggest choke jobs in NBA history,
00:05Paul George said something very interesting at the end of adult.
00:10He said, we didn't feel like this was a championship or bus season,
00:14which maybe at the start of the season, people could have assumed that.
00:18But after the Clippers traded for Marcus Morris,
00:20after they traded for Reggie Jackson, or after they picked up Reggie Jackson,
00:23I don't think anybody thought that.
00:25Everybody expected the Clippers to win this season.
00:29Other NBA players, Blake Griffin expected the Clippers,
00:32CJ McCollum expected the Clippers, everyone expected them to win.
00:36So to say something like, we didn't expect this to be a championship or bus,
00:40is quite a cop-out in a moment like this, when you're up 3-1,
00:45and you've blown double-digit leads in every single game, 5, 6, and 7.
00:51And if anyone needs to hear that again,
00:54the Clippers blew double-digit leads in games 5, 6, and 7,
00:59to advance to the conference finals for the first time ever in franchise history
01:03after 49 years, they had that opportunity.
01:07So to say this isn't a championship or bus season,
01:10while understandably Paul George said that from the standpoint of,
01:14oh, this is their first year together, it's the first year for the Lakers,
01:17it was the first year for the Raptors, it's the first year for a lot of people.
01:21And they're not making these excuses.
01:24So at the end of the day, the Clippers just couldn't execute.
