00:00 Former LA Clippers guard and three-time sixth man of the year award winner
00:03 Jamal Crawford will finish the season with the Brooklyn Nets according to the
00:07 Athletic Shops Rania. Crawford had been out of the league since the end of the
00:10 2018-2019 campaign when he capped off his 19th season of the league with a 51
00:15 point performance of the Phoenix Suns. Now he'll be joining a Nets squad in
00:18 desperate need of a scorer. Brooklyn has been hit harder by the coronavirus than
00:22 any other franchise in the NBA as Spencer Dinwiddie, DeAndre Jordan, and
00:26 Torian Prince will all be forced to set out to restart after contracting the
00:29 virus. Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Wilson Chandler, and Nick Laxton also will not
00:34 be challenging the bubble either for personal reasons or due to injury.
00:37 Obviously the Nets shouldn't expect to win a lot of games in the bubble but the
00:40 addition of Crawford should at least make for some more entertaining play. The
00:43 40-year-old is known for his impressive handle and ability to score in bunches.
00:46 As a member of the Clippers in 2012-2017 Crawford averaged 15 and a half points,
00:51 two rebounds, and nearly three assists in just under 28 minutes per contest. He was
00:56 named sixth man of the year twice up playing for Los Angeles once in 2014 and
01:01 again in 2016. Off the court Crawford has been described as quote "one of the
01:06 realest guys in the NBA" and has become a favorite among fans of virtually every team
01:10 he's played for. There's a good chance he drops a 30-piece on a few teams in the
01:13 Nets to hang around the bubble so Crawford is someone to keep an eye on if
01:17 you're looking for someone to you know keep you entertained during this bubble
01:20 season. Clippers fans should be sure to tune in to LA's matchup with Brooklyn on
01:23 August 9th. Catch a glimpse in case this ends up being his final stint in the NBA
01:27 which is a good chance it will be. Former Clippers swingman Cinderius Thornwell
01:31 also signed a new dealer from the NBA this week as well. Sin City will suit up
01:35 for the New Orleans Pelicans who will face off with the Clippers on August 1st.
