00:05 about a significant transfer that happened today.
00:09 Qaadari Richmond crossing two rivers
00:11 and leaving Seton Hall to go join Rick Pitino at St. John's.

00:19 I mean, it is what it is.
00:20 - You know, it's interesting.
00:22 He's now touched Syracuse, St. John's, and Seton Hall,
00:27 three members of the Old Big East.
00:29 He's gonna play at all three of them.
00:31 I don't think any of us ever envisioned
00:33 that that would be the case.
00:34 And that's rough, that's rough for Seton Hall.
00:36 I think they do a terrific job in that program.
00:39 And obviously St. John's is probably a better,
00:43 little bit better healed.
00:45 And that has something to do with his decision to move.
00:49 Maybe it had to do with the fact that the roster
00:51 would be stronger at St. John's this year
00:54 than it's likely to be at Seton Hall.
00:55 I can't say what Qaadari's motivation was,
00:59 but it is interesting.
01:01 And it is something that we can talk about.
01:03 And you're getting a terrific player to play at St. John's.
01:07 And now he gets to play a lot of his home games
01:09 in the garden.
01:10 And there's a lot of positives about it.
01:11 There aren't any positives for Coach Shaw,
01:15 because he loses a terrific player
01:17 and one who did great things for him this year and last.
01:20 But it's a huge positive for St. John's fans.
01:25 For every negative in the transfer portal,
01:27 there's a positive.
01:28 It all depends on the player and the circumstance.
01:33 Sometimes the player leaving your program is a positive.
01:36 Nobody ever talks out loud about that.
01:37 But sometimes it's good to get one of those guys to go,
01:40 I don't think that's the case with Qaadari,
01:41 but it does happen.
