00:00A foreign detainee was arrested in Kapwa Detainee.

00:04In exchange for his promise to be released,

00:06the suspect's wife was arrested for collecting blackmail money.

00:17Inside a women's CR in a mall in Panayake,

00:20a shoulder bag containing a million pesos worth of marked money was found.

00:25The bag was held by the target.

00:31He was immediately arrested by the NBI Organized and Transnational Crime Division.

00:42The money was received by the wife of a foreign national who is currently in prison

00:47in an immigration detention facility.

00:49The foreign national turned to his Kapwa Detainee

00:52and told him that he will be released if he will be given 8 million pesos.

00:56Their wives talked about the payment.

00:59He has a group of hackers who are outside.

01:03They have access to the email of the NBI.

01:07Our victim was given 870,000 pesos because that's all they could afford.

01:15Since they were not able to complete the 8 million pesos,

01:18they started to be afraid of our subject.

01:25He said that he can make this case worse.

01:32He will be in prison longer if the payment is not complete.

01:36He increased the payment from 8 million to 12 million.

01:40The payment went down to 1 million.

01:43What's amazing is that our suspect was able to communicate outside.

01:50He has a group of people and he has online access to the messenger.

01:57He's already inside the jail but he was still able to commit a crime.

02:03We are trying to get an explanation for the arrest.

02:05We are coordinating with the National Bureau of Investigation

02:09to find out the details of this crime.

02:12As well as if there are other cohorts,

02:14this foreign national could face extortion charges.
