00:03 Five years have passed but the water project in Aguilar, Pangasinan is still not used.

00:08 Residents have already blamed this on your Aksyon Man.

00:15 2019, the water project of DPWH Pangasinan Second District Engineering Office in Aguilar, Pangasinan was completed.

00:24 But residents in Barangay Buer are still complaining that they are not benefiting from the project.

00:30 We already have a tank but it is not working.

00:34 We are really affected because we are just relying on the well.

00:40 The well is clear but after 10 minutes, the water is freezing.

00:45 Residents have been having problems supplying water to the area for several years.

00:49 Our well is already poor. You can only get a few buckets, four or two.

00:58 And if there is a strong well, we are there to drink and bathe.

01:05 So they ask, when will the DPWH water project be used?

01:11 We hope that we can have water again.

01:17 Your Aksyon Man in DPWH Pangasinan Second District Engineering Office and in the Municipal Engineering Office of Aguilar, Pangasinan has already completed.

01:27 The project was completed. We turned it over to the LGU as an operational project.

01:32 It so happened that we will not be able to enter the houses.

01:38 We will only be able to enter the water meter, the main line to the water meter.

01:43 It is operational but it has not been used for five years.

01:49 So there are defects that are coming out.

01:52 Although the contractor is still under warranty, that is why they are still doing it.

01:57 I cannot explain it because I am a former municipal engineer and former mayor.

02:02 But we are already utilizing it.

02:05 But the leaks are the problem.

02:08 According to the local government of Aguilar, Pangasinan,

02:13 As far as I know, they already have meters that are waiting.

02:17 So we will be the only ones to install them to the houses.

02:20 We have a budget for that.

02:22 We also have lists of people willing to connect.

02:26 We will install them once the leakage is fixed.

02:29 Because the leaks are still being done.

02:32 Once the pipes are rehabilitated, residents will be able to supply water.

02:39 We look forward to the local government of Aguilar, Pangasinan's response.
