00:14 The House Committee on Government Enterprises and Privatization inspected Manila Bay earlier.

00:23 It is now the site of the proposed plan to be built by the Manila Bay Development Authority

00:28 along with the duties of the proposed occupation,

00:31 to monitor the projects in Manila Bay and to ensure that these are not destroyed in the future.

00:38 We have a mandate in the order of the Supreme Court

00:41 that all the waterways and Manila Bay must be cleaned.

00:45 All the waterways of Metro Manila pass through here.

00:48 There is no specific authority that is really asking for a case

00:51 on who is really responsible for this.

00:54 According to Olivares, there are more than 140 local governments around Manila Bay.

01:02 According to the proposed Manila Bay Development Authority,

01:05 there will be a master plan for Manila Bay

01:08 along with the considered powers of the occupation to cancel the project

01:13 and transfer to the informal settlers in Manila Bay.

01:17 The proposal is supported by some members of the committee.

01:21 We are from the coastal areas of Pampanga

01:24 and we are the ones who are affected by the rain every rainy season.

01:28 So it's vitally important for us to take care of Manila Bay

01:32 because this is where the water will come out from the entire central Luzon.

01:35 The committee approved the plans for the Manila Bay Development Authority

01:40 after the State of the Nation address in July.

01:43 Olivares also believes that Dolomite Beach should remain in Rojas Boulevard.

01:49 It's a beautiful place. Our local tourists go there.

01:54 So we will maintain it and keep it well kept.
