00:05That's why the pressure in Tubig Ripo will decrease in Manila and Manila Water.

00:16Since yesterday, DENR lowered the allocation of water for MWSS

00:22to 49 cubic meters per second from the previous 50.

00:26It's small in terms of the total volume.

00:29It's only 2% of the 50.

00:33But the 1 cubic meter per second is good as a supply for about 400,000 people.

00:41Manila Water and Manila Water checked that their supply of Tubig Ripo will not be cut

00:46but the water pressure will decrease in the next few hours.

00:49Before, we used to do this between 10 to 4 a.m.

00:54But now, we have reduced the pressure from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

01:01Even if we reduce the allocation for the remaining half of the month of May,

01:06we can still get by even if there is no service in the region.

01:10This is between 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

01:13Even though it rained the past few days, the water level in Angat and Lamesa Dam still decreased.

01:19Unfortunately, most of the rains, they fall within the metro.

01:23What we need is for the rain to fall in Angat and Hipo Dam or even Lamesa Dam only.

01:31The allocation for the National Irrigation Administration decreased to 12 cubic meters per second.

01:37The reduction in NIA is also significant.

01:40But the good news is most of our bulacan and pampanga farmers are now just about to harvest their crops.

01:48That is why the DENR calls on everyone not to waste water.

01:53It is good if every house has its own water tank.

01:57A drum of NIA that is less than P1,000 can save 200 liters of water

02:04that can be used to water, flush the toilet, and clean the car.

02:09Washing the car using the garden hose, watering our plants and gardens using our garden hose.

02:17We can still throw it away.

02:19And the use of inflatable pools.

02:24Now, we are prohibiting that.

02:27Based on the loss of hope, we may have to save water until June.
