00:00So now let's get to the game last night also between Dallas and Oklahoma City.
00:05You know, I think most people, and you included, thought that Dallas would win a game or two in the series,
00:10maybe even win the series. It's just how this is going to go.
00:13A little bit like Dallas-LA Clippers, because Oklahoma City, while they may be a better team, Matt, than Dallas,
00:20you know, Dallas certainly can hold their own. They had a really good regular season.
00:23They look good in the first round of the playoffs. So they win last night 1-19 to 1-10.
00:28Is it fair? I mean, P.J. Washington was the surprise from their team last night.
00:32But is it fair to say that as long as Luka is putting up his kind of numbers, which is somewhere between,
00:39I don't know, 25-35 points a game, at the very least Dallas is going to be in these games, which they were not in Game 1?
00:47Yeah, absolutely. You know, Luka had not looked good, at least shooting from deep, for most of these playoffs.
00:53He was obviously banged up. There was numerous times last night where I wondered if he was going to be able to keep playing,
01:00but he did. He toughed it out, nearly had a triple-double, and led the team.
01:04Are they going to get seven three-pointers from P.J. Washington most nights? No, absolutely not.
01:08But at the same time, they're not only going to get nine points from Kyrie Irving most nights.
01:13And Kyrie Irving was good in other ways. He had a bunch of assists. He had a big rebound.
01:19He did hit a big shot. But nine points when Kyrie Irving plays 42 minutes is not likely most nights.
01:25So I think that could even out with some of the scoring we saw from Dallas' role players that maybe isn't repeatable.
01:31And on the flip side, Oklahoma City's got a problem where a guy who's been in their starting lineup all year
01:37looks unplayable and did not play hardly at all in the second half with Josh Gitte.
01:42And how's that going to continue the rest of this series?
01:45Because even though you can say, well, Josh Gitte shouldn't play. Josh Gitte's been terrible.
01:49You can say all those things, but that's a guy who's been there.
01:52They have a rhythm, and they have a way of playing that now changes.
01:57And they have to get accustomed to that with whether it's Aaron Wiggins,
02:00whether it's someone else coming in and playing more.
02:04So we'll see what happens in Game 3. They might just go back to it.
02:07It might have been a one-half thing, but I think that is an issue for Oklahoma City
02:12that they kind of need to figure out. They're a very good team.
02:15I think this is going to be a battle.
02:17This is going to be quite a series going forward as long as everyone stays healthy.
02:21They both traded punches now, and we'll see going back to Dallas.
02:25So I'm pretty excited for the rest of this series because it's shaping up to be a long one and a very competitive one.
