00:00Let's set the stage for the only game tonight in the NBA playoffs. To Minnesota we go for
00:09game number six. Here is what is at stake. The reigning NBA champs, the Denver Nuggets.
00:15One win away from their second consecutive trip to a Western Conference Finals appearance.
00:20Minnesota trying to hold off elimination, keep their season and this series afloat with
00:25a victory tonight to force a game seven back at altitude this weekend in Denver.
00:31J.Y. is here for a second straight segment and the Timberwolves, J.Y., a two and a half
00:37point favorite for game number six tonight. The over-under stands currently at 2-0-5.
00:44In your coaches scouting report, what is the key to game number six?
00:49Well, number one, you know, the health of Mike Conley, who's questioned before tonight,
00:54that's going to be key because Mike Conley is a defender and he's someone that can kind
00:58of disrupt Jamal Murray a little bit. And he kind of stabilizes the team, right? But
01:02he allows them to kind of get to where they need to be. Alexander Walker goes to the bench,
01:06everybody kind of slots into themselves. So the first thing we need to know is, is Mike
01:10Conley going to play tonight? Because I think that's a huge factor that no one's going to
01:13talk about. Two, how does Chris Fringe, how does Coach Fringe handle the adjustment of
01:18Denver running a second person at Anthony Edwards? I believe over 30 times they sent
01:25a double-team at and got the ball out of his hand. So we have to see who is that next guy
01:29that's going to step up. Obviously, Cat, you know, shot the ball well, but of course we
01:33saw him limping off the floor like he ain't going to play, but I think he's fine. I think
01:37it was just a little bit of, you know, a little bit upset about the game. So, you know, Carl
01:41Anthony Taylor did play well going to the 19th from the floor as a key. But the other
01:45big thing is, what are we going to do about Rudy Gobert, right? And I know people are
01:51going to sit there and say, the Joker went 8 of 9 from the floor against Rudy. They're
01:57moves, folks, that I'm a basketball trainer, that I show kids all the time, and even I'm
02:04like, how the hell did he get that shot off? So to me, a lot of those baskets that, that,
02:10you know, Joker made were such high degree of difficulty. If you're fixed, do you go
02:15back to Rudy and play him at 40 minutes, or do you panic a little bit and go small, put
02:20Nas Reed on him or cat on him? That's going to be the big chess match is the Rudy Gobert
02:27minutes tonight in game number six.
02:30We'll break down this game with some individual statistics on some players in just a moment,
02:34but coach, let me ask you this. We talk about momentum and it's big in sports. You had six
02:38straight victories for Minnesota. It looked like they were riding high and might even
02:41wipe Denver off the court for games. They've now lost three straight games to the Denver
02:46Nuggets here. How do you stop that momentum? Like, what are you telling your team? Like
02:50you started so hot in the playoffs. Now it's like you can't find yourself in these victories.
02:54How do you just get one to get back into this series?
02:59When the first quarter, you have, you have to win the first quarter. You have to come
03:04out first quarter, play really well, play with the lead. Now, obviously they're only
03:09done two after one in Denver, but you got to get the crowd behind you because what you
03:16have right now is a young team and an elimination game that has lost three games in a row, two
03:22of them at home. The crowd can get really restless and the team can start to panic.
03:28The key to me is going to be the first quarter and the whole quarter. You got to be up by
03:34six, eight, 10 points. You can't be like Oklahoma city up eight, two early and then start. It
03:41goes the other way. You got to jump on Denver and stay on top of them for all your, you're
03:47not going to punch early, try to get a lead and get the crowd behind you. Cause if you
03:51play from behind Donnie, you're going to get restless fans and you're going to get kids
03:55that are going to panic.
03:58J Y it was a weird set of circumstances, kind of for Nicola Yochich winning his third NBA
04:03MVP award in the last four seasons. When he was named the league's most valuable player
04:08last week, Denver was down. Oh two losing both games on their own home floor to Minnesota.
04:15And the Joker did not look great in either of the first two of this second round series
04:19against the T wolves. But since being named MVP for the third time in the last four seasons,
04:25Nicola Yochich has looked like the NBA's MVP in the last three games, three wins for Denver
04:32on the left, his stats over this three game run, 33 points, 9.3 boards per game, nearly
04:39double digit assists. Of course, in game five, a performance for the playoff ages, 40 points,
04:4613 dimes. If Denver is going to win this series in a sixth game tonight, what numbers does
04:54Nicola Yochich need to put up triple double, put them away, put them away and do it in
05:01any way. And that's, and that's, that's what's so great about Nicola Yochich that people
05:05understand he really is a chameleon. Like he's going to adapt and change his game based
05:10off what the defense is due to him. So I would look at triple double. If there's one prop
05:15I'm looking at, I'm looking at the assist because I do think whether it's go bear or
05:20especially Nasri, I think you're setting double teams. If I'm finished, I'm saying, I can't
05:25let this guy get 40. I can't let him get 35. I got to keep him 25 or below. So to me, I
05:33said more guys, Adam, you bring them out to the top of the key. You put them in that pinch
05:38area at the foul at the elbow area. We can see over the defense and he dimes people up
05:42joker, triple double. You don't want to do that. Joker over eight and a half assists
05:46tonight. Let's flip it over to the other side. Cause I think we need a superman cape on
05:50tonight for Anthony Edwards. Take a look at his series 4327, 1944 and 18. Obviously we know
05:56the games that he scored 19 and 18. They're not going to win those basketball games and
06:00they didn't. I need a monster performance at Anthony Edwards tonight. Could we see coach
06:0540 plus minutes and 40 plus points for Anthony Edwards?
06:11That's saying a lot, but I will say this. If you're Anthony Edwards, you go out on your
06:16sword tonight. I mean, that's right. You're going, you're going out. The shot volume has
06:22got to be there. He's got to be able to get up a ton of shots, only 15 shots and game
06:26number five, only 15 shots and game number three. Look at the games that they won 29, 17.
06:33He's got to get folks 23 to 25 shot attempts up tonight. You got to do more, more false
06:41action. If they send a double team, get him on the run and not play. I saw ball, but you do need
06:46my colleague there. I think that we get a big performance out of Anthony Edwards tonight. I
06:51think he goes off for 30 plus tonight.
06:5429 and a half is that points prop for the ant man. You would think that if Minnesota forces a
07:00seventh game, he gets to at least 30 Nicola Jokic to record a triple double. That's a two to one
07:08number.
07:11Yeah.
