Europe hit by severe floods in the north and heatwaves in the south

Heavy rainfall and storms wreak havoc across northern Italy, France and Germany, whilst southern Italy endures an unseasonal heatwave.

00:28 yellow alert for thunderstorms. This includes parts of the Ile-de-France region, where Paris,
00:34 the Evelines, Eyssons and Seine-et-Marne departments are. They're on alert for severe storms that
00:40 were due from midday on Saturday.
00:44 Meanwhile in Slovenia, local storms formed a heavy rainfall hit to northeast on Thursday
00:50 evening. And in Stavierska and Gorinska, the rivers swelled up, with some of them bursting
