00:00Welcome to NTFA Premier Footy Tips. I'm Brian Allen from The Examiner.
00:05We'll now run through the Round 8 tips.
00:08First up, we've got the big one. It's Longford and Bridge North at Longford,
00:12and I think the Tigers will win this by seven points.
00:16The second-placed Tigers made a statement with their four-point away win
00:19against Roe Trolley last weekend, while Bridge North scored a strong win
00:23against 2023 Grand Finalist Hillwood.
00:26In fairness, Hillwood were lacking their dominant ruck, Hamish Leadham,
00:29who's got a knee injury. But nonetheless, it was a great win for Bridge North,
00:34who are really gelling well this season with their new players.
00:38Overall, I think Longford appear to have the greater depth across the board
00:41and are more experienced than the New York Parrots,
00:44so I feel that that could prove the difference.
00:46In the South Launceston and Georgetown game at Young Turnoval,
00:49I think South Launceston will win by 30 points.
00:52South are coming off a bye and are undefeated with six wins,
00:55but they'll be really motivated because of the four teams
00:58that are hot on their heels. Georgetown aren't one of those teams at present,
01:02but they've pushed Roe Trolley and Longford right to the end,
01:05so South are really going to have to be on their game.
01:08Next up, we have Roe Trolley and Scottsdale at Scottsdale,
01:12and I think that the Tigers will win this by 80 points.
01:16Roe Trolley will be eager to bounce back after losing to Longford at home last weekend,
01:21and I expect them to be hard on themselves against the winless Scottsdale,
01:24who are obviously having a tough season.
01:26The Magpies, though, have shown a bit in the past two rounds
01:29against fellow bottom three sides Georgetown and Deloraine.
01:33Next up, we have Bracknell and Deloraine,
01:36and I think that the Redlegs will win this by 50 points.
01:39It appears that Bracknell will be too strong for the Roos,
01:44given that they defeated Georgetown by 16 points last weekend,
01:47and the Saints accounted for the Roos comfortably earlier this season.
01:51But the Kangaroos will be upbeat this week
01:54after they scored their first win of the season with a 55-point win over Scottsdale.
01:59Lastly, Hillwood have the bye.
