33:22 Our Miss Universe Philippines 2024 is...
33:28 Bulacan!
33:30 [cheering]
33:32 Miss Bulacan Chelsea Manalo is the new Miss Universe Philippines.
33:36 [speaking Filipino]
33:38 Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle D.
33:41 First runner up, Stacy Gabriel Nangkainta.
33:44 Second runner up, Atisa Manalo of Quezon Province.
33:48 From Baguio, third runner up Tara Valencia.
33:51 And fourth runner up, Krystlen McCary of Taguig.
33:54 [music playing]
33:56 From the runway walk to the question and answer portion,
33:59 Chelsea's beauty, wit, and personality are on the rise.
34:03 She was asked how she can use her beauty and confidence to empower others.
34:10 As a woman of color, I've always faced challenges in my life.
34:15 I was told that beauty is, has a standard actually.
34:20 But for me, I have listened to always believe in my mother.
34:24 So I believe in yourself.
34:26 Uphold the values that you have in yourself.
34:28 Because of these, I am already influencing a lot of women who are facing me right now.
34:34 As a transformational woman.
34:36 I have here 52 other delegates with me who have helped me to become the woman I am today.
34:43 [cheering]
34:44 Besting other 52 candidates,
34:46 Chelsea will be the youngest Filipino in the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.
34:52 I always have this dream of actually looking at myself in the mirror of wearing that sash and that crown.
34:58 So when they announced my province, I couldn't feel anything.
35:03 Like literally, and I'm really happy to be here.
35:07 I'm crying because I'm so happy. I'm thanking God.
35:11 I fulfilled my dream.
35:16 But it's not a joke that the 24-year-old from Kenya's journey to use the crown.
35:23 Everyone performed their best.
35:24 So I think what was my secret there is to just give it my all to perform well, to stick to my core.
35:31 Chelsea is half American.
35:33 She was born with a biological dad and she grew up with her stepfather.
35:38 Chelsea is also an advocate for indigenous people.
35:41 And she is not exempted from bullying.
35:45 We all go through challenges. We all go through that phase.
35:48 You know, I didn't have that standard of beauty when it comes to beauty pageants.
35:53 But I told myself and my parents have always told me to believe in yourself.
35:58 There's a story for you to tell and this is me right now.
36:01 Some of the highlights of Coronation Night are the opening number of the contestants
36:05 including Miss Universe Philippines' 2023 Michelle D.
36:09 And the Cabo Guerra performance of drag queen Marina Summers.
36:16 In Miss Universe Philippines' final walk of 2023 Michelle D,
36:25 she wore the Blackwang Odd inspired gown that she wore in Miss Universe pageant last year.

37:14 Obri Carampeo, updated to showbiz happenings.
37:19 Family love is not always found in blood.
37:23 That's the story of a magna cum laude graduate in Zamboanga City
37:28 who dedicated his success to his parents.
37:33 That's what Efren Mamak of GMA Regional TV, Juan Mindanao, is talking about.
37:38 Who wouldn't be touched by this encounter?
37:46 The medal of a magna cum laude graduate was given to another person.
37:50 But the viral grad, Mark Lawrence Basan,
37:56 who was given a medal when he was just 6 months old,
38:01 and who was supported by his parents.
38:04 My mother was pregnant and she didn't accept me.
38:07 She didn't accept what happened so I was given to their boss.
38:11 This boss gave me to my mom now.
38:15 Even though his parents didn't know him,
38:18 he was loved by his adoptive parents.
38:21 Even though they were poor.
38:23 I'm proud of my father knowing farmers,
38:25 knowing senior citizens and senior citizens of the flag.
38:28 I'm not ashamed of them because they were the ones who supported me from the beginning.
38:33 We were two, we were in the same class.
38:36 We were in the same class.
38:38 They could just go to school.
38:41 We were the only ones who were in the same class.
38:45 Even though we were different, we were in the same class.
38:48 He was able to do that by not only studying,
38:52 but also by discarding tutoring, hosting and other income
38:57 so that he could have a better life.
38:59 That's why he's proud of his adoptive parents.
39:03 I'm proud of them.
39:05 They didn't sacrifice anything.
39:07 When I was pregnant,
39:10 I was able to take care of my father.
39:14 I was able to take care of my father.
39:17 But when I was pregnant, I was able to take care of my father.
39:20 I was able to take care of my father.
39:27 Even though they faced trials in life,
39:31 like the part of their house that was burned,
39:34 Mark did not give up.
39:39 She also thanks God that no one was hurt in her family.
39:43 Now, Mark wants to teach students with special needs
39:47 so that they can use her studies in the Bachelor of Special Needs Education course.
39:52 It's not just hard work,
39:54 but also to make your dreams come true
39:57 if you put in the effort and determination.
