00:00Well, this is how it starts.
00:04You are awakened by a strange noise, but it is not your awakening.
00:08It is 5 o'clock in the morning.
00:10After a few seconds, you realize that the strange sound is a knock against the window.
00:14But you live on the 12th floor.
00:16Who or what could knock?
00:19The bricklayers?
00:20You live in an ordinary residential building, not in a skyscraper with offices.
00:24The knocks are getting stronger.
00:26You take your courage in both hands and you head towards the window.
00:29You grab the curtain and you pull it abruptly aside.
00:35What you see is fantastic.
00:37There are small flying or floating fish outside your window.
00:41Thousands of them.
00:43A band of sardines that rise directly to the sky.
00:46Some of them pass through your window.
00:49There are so many sardines that you can't see what's going on outside.
00:53But when the last fish passes, the entire panorama opens to you.
00:58Small and large fish fly between the houses.
01:01The octopuses move in the air with their tentacles.
01:04A huge whale slowly drifts towards the horizon.
01:08Above the roof of a neighboring house, two sharks hunt four otters.
01:12A neighbor gives you a sign.
01:13He holds a fishing rod by the window and waits for the fish to bite.
01:17A bench, no, a swarm of dolphins pass in front of your window.
01:20They whistle cheerfully as if they were greeting you.
01:23What's going on?
01:26You turn on the TV.
01:28All the channels broadcast the same thing.
01:30The marine creatures of the earth have learned to fly, to leave the ocean and to reach the air.
01:35All flights in the world are canceled.
01:37And the fishing boats are immobilized in the seas, oceans, lakes and rivers.
01:42And no one knows what happened.
01:46You get dressed and you go outside.
01:48The sea turtles crawl on the ground.
01:50They whistle, beat the fins and rise in the air.
01:53A shrimp herd passes in front of you.
01:55Did the ocean lose its gravity?
01:57What happened to all the water?
01:59You live in a port city near the sea.
02:01So you decide to go ashore.
02:03You reach the shore and you see that the water is calm.
02:06The gravity seems intact.
02:08But the marine creatures continue to fly into the sky.
02:12Six months later, people are gradually getting used to a new natural phenomenon.
02:16The fish occupy most of the sky.
02:19Some marine creatures penetrate the intermediate layers of the atmosphere.
02:23The small birds have almost disappeared since the presence of predatory fish in the sky.
02:28But the prey birds that hunt the fish have gained weight.
02:31They have eaten so much that they can no longer fly.
02:34Goats, albatrosses, pelicans and eagles can barely bear their own weight.
02:40Planes have stopped flying.
02:42And boat trips have been multiplied.
02:45The global ecosystem is undergoing a complete change.
02:48The ocean becomes lifeless.
02:50The number of bacteria, microbes and various nutrients present in the water has moved into the air.
02:55People fall ill more often.
02:57And in some regions, it becomes difficult to breathe.
03:01When it rains, millions of shrimp and small fish fall to the ground with the water.
03:06Many predatory mammals that fed on fish are starting to starve.
03:10They go out on the roads and in the cities to find food.
03:14Scientists are doing research on flying creatures
03:17and discover that they have modified the structure of their lungs in one way or another.
03:21But we still don't know how fish have acquired the ability to fly.
03:25It seems that nature has simply decided to propel people out of their usual environment.
03:31Fishermen build balloons to fish in the sky.
03:34Some athletes launch an assault on flying whales and mount them like huge horses.
03:39Although landing can be difficult.
03:42Creatures that used to only swim in the depths of the ocean now settle at high altitudes.
03:48Researchers discover new species of fish that were previously unknown.
03:52In the depths of the ocean, a giant octopus has risen into the air.
03:56Many call it the Kraken.
03:58This monster has found a new home just at the top of Mount Everest.
04:02Now, everyone is afraid to climb this mountain.
04:06The creatures of the deepest waters reach space.
04:09On the ISS, astronauts observe the passage of amazing animals.
04:13They look like aliens from other planets, but certainly not from Earth.
04:18In some regions, sharks go down to the ground to feed.
04:22In these places, people are afraid to go out.
04:25Fishing companies buy huge boeings and attach nets to catch fish in the air.
04:31But flights are not safe.
04:33Especially when a whale suddenly appears on their way.
04:37Authorities impose curfews in many cities.
04:40People climb on the roofs and admire an incredible show at night.
04:44Flying jellyfish floating in the air.
04:47Thanks to the bioluminescent protein of jellyfish,
04:50the bright stars in the sky mix with transparent creatures that look like neon.
04:55But beware, some of these jellyfish are very venomous.
04:59Some people were so fascinated by these beautiful jellyfish
05:03that they touched them and ended up in the hospital.
05:06Squids, frightened by the new conditions, release ink into the air.
05:11When many squids do this, the ink blocks the sun's light.
05:15Massive traffic jams appear on the roads
05:18because electric jellyfish fly in the streets and disturb traffic lights.
05:23While all of humanity looks at the sky,
05:25almost no one has noticed what is happening down here.
05:28All over the world, people suffering from a strange physical disability
05:32show up in hospitals.
05:34Strange holes form under people's ears.
05:37Doctors don't understand what they have to do.
05:40But one of the patients jumps into a lake
05:42and he manages to breathe underwater.
05:44All the people have given up.
05:46At first, most people refuse to go underwater.
05:49But the modification of their lungs forces them to do so
05:52or to spend the rest of their lives with a gas mask.
05:55Some people are happy to go underwater and start a new life.
05:59The human body adapts to cold temperatures and high pressure.
06:03There is a lot of work to do to create cities and infrastructures.
06:07But things don't go so badly.
06:09There is more space in the water than on land.
06:11It's night.
06:12A big storm starts to rage.
06:14You live in a coastal city
06:16and you look at the sea streaming through the window.
06:19Lightning strikes the sky.
06:21Enormous waves crash against the shore
06:23and a storm turns the sand into wet clay.
06:26You think that in the morning,
06:28many fish will be thrown on the shore
06:30and you will go to bed.
06:32It's a strange noise that wakes you up.
06:35It's as if hundreds of thousands of people
06:37were waving their hands near your window.
06:39You go out and you see a huge crowd of people
06:42standing by the sea.
06:44The sound of clacking becomes louder and louder
06:46and its source is tons of fish thrown on the shore.
06:50They have been there for several hours
06:52but are still alive.
06:54They fight and hit their sticky bodies against the sand.
06:57You see carps, trouts, sardines
07:00and even huge white sharks.
07:02They are full of energy
07:04and make their big teethed jaws pop.
07:06One way or another,
07:08all the fish can now breathe air like humans.
07:11You help other people to throw the fish in the water.
07:14You can see them move away in the depths of the sea.
07:17But some of them go up and swim near the surface,
07:20enjoying the fresh air.
07:22You have thrown almost all the fish,
07:24except for the sharks.
07:26A crane arrives.
07:28It takes each shark one by one
07:30and then transports the fish to the sea
07:32and lets them go.
07:34In the news, you learn that
07:36fish that breathe air
07:38have been thrown on the shore
07:40and not just in your city.
07:42People find them on beaches all over the world.
07:44Scientists and marine researchers
07:46have already gone on an expedition to the sea
07:48to study this unique phenomenon.
07:50Later in the evening,
07:52they announce the results of their study.
07:54Now, every marine creature with branches
07:56can also breathe air
07:58thanks to newly developed lungs.
08:00It can stay on the ground
08:02as long as it wants.
08:04It only needs to have water to drink,
08:06just like other living creatures.
08:08Fish absorb water
08:10and let it pass through their branches.
08:12The branches have special receptors
08:14that extract the air from the water
08:16and send it into the fish's bloodstream.
08:18This way, their bodies receive
08:20the necessary oxygen doses for life.
08:22Then, carbon dioxide is formed.
08:24It enters the fish's bloodstream,
08:26then passes through the branches
08:28and is thrown into the water.
08:30The ability to breathe through the branches
08:32has remained unchanged,
08:34but the anatomy of these creatures
08:36is now different.
08:38They have developed lungs
08:40and respiratory tracts.
08:42When a fish is in the water,
08:44it closes this tract
08:46and blocks access to the lungs.
08:48This way, the water does not penetrate.
08:50But when the fish is on the surface,
08:52the lungs pass through the mouth.
08:54This amazing metamorphosis
08:56has not brought significant changes to the world.
08:58In any case, not yet.
09:00Dolphins and whales have always had lungs.
09:02The air passes through their nostrils,
09:04which are located above their heads.
09:06This opening is called the vent.
09:08Dolphins go up to the surface,
09:10fill their lungs with air
09:12and return underwater for a few minutes.
09:14But now,
09:16not only dolphins,
09:18but all other marine creatures
09:20are close to the surface.
09:22You embark on a boat
09:24for a sea excursion
09:26and you see this shocking phenomenon
09:28with your own eyes.
09:30The further away you are from the shore,
09:32the more you notice fish
09:34on the surface of the water.
09:36They jump high and dive back
09:38near the dolphins.
09:40They seem to appreciate their new ability.
09:42There are so many!
09:44Several dozen fish
09:46even jump on your boat.
09:48It is about the size of your boat.
09:50Fortunately,
09:52it is distracted by other fish
09:54and does not seem to want to chase you.
09:56You turn around
09:58and return near the shore.
10:00The twilight falls.
10:02You can see the lights of the city.
10:04The sea is filled with luminous jellyfish
10:06and phytoplankton.
10:08Because of this,
10:10the water shines in purple blue.
10:12You are fascinated by this spectacle
10:14and you do not notice
10:16You can hear people screaming.
10:18The closer you get to the shore,
10:20the louder the screams
10:22and the noise of something collapsing.
10:24Finally, you arrive at the pier.
10:26You get off the boat
10:28and you discover that part of the dike
10:30has been destroyed.
10:32The boats are overturned,
10:34the lamps are broken,
10:36the electric wires are torn off.
10:38A long stream of transparent viscous liquid
10:40leads from the pier to the city.
10:42You slip on this sink once or twice.
10:44The streets are empty.
10:46The cars are abandoned.
10:48The windows of the houses are broken.
10:50There is garbage everywhere
10:52and the road is also covered with drool.
10:54You hear a kind of whistling
10:56coming from a dark alley.
10:58They are getting closer to you.
11:00A little octopus appears on the road.
11:02It moves like a spider.
11:04With its tentacles,
11:06the creature climbs on a car,
11:08jumps on the wall and climbs.
11:10After this octopus,
11:12another one comes out.
11:14Several squids follow it.
11:16Some of them climb badly straight towards you.
11:18You take a step back.
11:20More and more squids
11:22and octopuses come out of the dark alley.
11:24Some of them reach the size of a car.
11:26You see a bike lying on the ground
11:28and you climb on it.
11:30You cross deserted streets
11:32with an army of octopuses
11:34crawling behind you.
11:36The ground begins to tremble
11:38under the wheels of your bike.
11:40You hear the growling of an unknown beast.
11:42You look back
11:44and immediately regret having done it.
11:46A huge monster
11:48the size of a five-story building
11:50and similar to a squid
11:52breaks the wall of the nearest house
11:54with a single blow of its colossal tentacle.
11:56This creature came out
11:58of the darkest corner of the sea.
12:00Since the animal has a pair of lungs,
12:02it can't wait to take a breath of fresh air.
12:04Its instincts brought it to the surface
12:06where it felt a lot of food.
12:08The city lights
12:10have attracted the attention
12:12of the Kraken.
12:14Look at this.
12:16A swirling swirling
12:18sweeps the Australian coast
12:20and heads for the nearest city.
12:22This tornado is unique
12:24not because of its color
12:26but because of those who hide inside.
12:28These are big white sharks,
12:30hammered sharks, tiger sharks
12:32and bulldog sharks.
12:34They fly inside the hurricane
12:36to catch the first piece of meat.
12:38People who witness this bizarre phenomenon
12:40from the outside think it's time
12:42to stop forcing on the bottle
12:44but it's unfortunately the reality.
12:46Can a tornado really exist?
12:48Or not?
12:50That's what we're going to find out.
12:52In 1877, a rather unusual tornado
12:54hit a farm in Southern California.
12:56About six small alligators
12:58about 30 centimeters long
13:00fell from the sky that day.
13:02In 1894,
13:04a tornado crossed England
13:06and knocked down venomous jellyfish
13:08on people.
13:10There is a version that says
13:12those would be tethers
13:14and not jellyfish that spread on the ground
13:16that day.
13:18But it still seems more than strange.
13:20In Kentucky,
13:22in 1876,
13:24a black hail storm
13:26poured down from the clouds.
13:28There was clearly something to do with it.
13:30Then pieces of meat fell from the sky.
13:32The inhabitants who tasted it
13:34said it tasted similar
13:36to that of sheep or gibbet.
13:38However, later,
13:40experts discovered that a group of raptors
13:42had flown over the region.
13:44The birds would have felt bad
13:46and would have regurgitated their meal in full volume.
13:48And we can assume that the inhabitants
13:50of the region who tasted it did the same.
13:52In 1947,
13:54fish fell from the sky in Marksville,
13:56Louisiana.
13:58In 2005, a rain containing thousands of frogs
14:00was poured down in Serbia.
14:02And in 2010, a small Australian town
14:04was hit by a rain of fish.
14:06Perches to be precise.
14:08Imagine now that all these strange phenomena
14:10have been caused by a secret organization
14:12where a gang of evil scientists work.
14:14And one of them is you.
14:16So you decide
14:18to generate the most incredible natural cataclysm
14:20in history.
14:22A shark tornado.
14:24Or the famous Sharknado.
14:26It seems impossible,
14:28because you simply have nothing better to do.
14:30First of all,
14:32you have to understand what a sea storm is.
14:34It is a rotating air column
14:36filled with condensed clouds.
14:38This whirlpool occurs during a storm
14:40when the hot air releases a large amount of heat.
14:42It becomes the energy that moves
14:44the ascending air currents.
14:46The hot and humid air rises
14:48and the cold and dry air descends.
14:50The difference in temperature preserves this instability
14:52and promotes the development of tornadoes.
14:54When they form above the water,
14:56the tornado becomes a sea storm.
14:58It can suck particles from seawater,
15:00some objects and even fish.
15:02But it all depends on the strength of this whirlpool.
15:04You have probably seen tornadoes
15:06lift cars
15:08or tear the roofs of buildings.
15:10A video even circulates on the Internet
15:12where we see a tornado
15:14carrying cows in the air.
15:16However, an ordinary cow weighs about 700 kg.
15:18But them.
15:20For comparison,
15:22the great white shark weighs about 2 tons.
15:24If a tornado is able to lift several cows,
15:26it can as well take a shark.
15:28But besides the great white shark,
15:30there are tiger sharks,
15:32bulldog sharks
15:34and hammer sharks.
15:36None are as heavy.
15:38So there is no doubt that a tornado
15:40could also carry them in the air.
15:42Okay, we can now assume
15:44that it is in the realm of the possible.
15:46The next step is to create a real tornado.
15:48To do this,
15:50you have to heat the air and rotate it.
15:52The air will begin to descend
15:54and you will then get a whirlpool.
15:56A Canadian engineer named Louis Michaud
15:58managed to build devices
16:00that created tornadoes.
16:02He made several prototypes
16:04before assembling a real engine
16:06to a whirlpool.
16:08According to him,
16:10everyone could do it.
16:12However, these whirlpools were very small.
16:14His device generated thin streams of air
16:16that were whirling
16:18and producing micro-tornadoes
