00:00 It's said that it's good to live in that tiny house, the tank house.
00:05 But there are rules that are prohibited.
00:07 You can't fart.
00:08 Welcome to the tank house, the smallest, complete and livable tiny house of 5.5 square meters
00:19 that can be found in the city camp proper here in Papio City.
00:23 So let's go inside.
00:25 But be careful, you might get lost inside.
00:27 [music]
00:33 My wife asked me to repair her old and broken water tank.
00:41 And her area there has no parking with a parking lot.
00:47 So I said, "Why not make the most out of the area?"
00:50 I maximized it, that I'll combine the parking lot and the warehouse.
00:55 So I said, "If I'm going to do that and I have a good thing for the family,
01:02 why not build a concept that's very productive?"
01:05 And at the same time, I can also use this as a tourist attraction here in Papio City.
01:12 I can have people rent it out.
01:15 We can lease it for the experience of the people who can live,
01:21 even once in their lives, in the smallest, complete and livable house.
01:25 I tried to stay here.
01:27 Which is one reason why we thought of building a tank house as an inspiration.
01:33 Not just for the family and for the kids to have fun,
01:36 but also to give inspiration to those who are saving during the pandemic.
01:40 It's really a tank house. It's a story to tell.
01:43 Because of this pandemic, I felt sad for my kids.
01:48 I said, "The kids are my priority, the family is my priority."
01:53 So the kids, even us, can't go out, can't explore.
01:58 So the happiness and lifestyle of the family is limited.
02:04 Why not make a tree house for them?
02:06 There aren't many trees in the area.
02:09 So why not use the tank house as the tree house?
02:12 That's why it became a tank house.
02:14 So, this is the dollhouse of my kids.
02:18 But I made sure that it's not just a fun house,
02:21 but it's also functional for the adults so that everyone can enjoy.
02:26 So if there are others who want to build a tiny house,
02:29 I'd suggest that they build a bigger one.
02:33 So that there are more of them.
02:35 February this year, I started to conceptualize and construct this.
02:41 The tank house, since it's the smallest complete and livable tiny house,
02:47 it's dimensions are 2.2 square meters by 2.45 square meters.
02:55 So it's size is around 5.4 square meters.
03:01 So I made sure that this home that I'll be making is complete with a dining area,
03:07 a kitchen that can be cooked, that also has a sink,
03:11 a toilet and bath, a living area,
03:15 and most importantly, our bed.
03:19 Up here, the loft area of the house,
03:25 you can put two beds here.
03:28 So four beds can fit here.
03:30 And the height of this loft area,
03:33 people can stand here.
03:35 Of course, it's regular down here.
03:37 And the features of this,
03:39 I put a lot of windows here in the loft type
03:42 so that when it's open air, it's nice to stay.
03:45 You won't be claustrophobic.
03:47 Down here, our things are regular.
03:51 Regular dining table, regular sofa.
03:55 And a lot of people ask, "Is there storage there?"
03:59 Yes, we have storage.
04:01 Our sofas are open.
04:03 Under the kitchen, it's a cabinet.
04:05 And here, you can put a cabinet.
04:08 But here in our loft, we added a receiving area just like this.
04:13 So you can sit on our mini sofa.
04:16 There's a table here.
04:18 And of course, we have a lot of storage here.
04:20 So we can, especially millennials now, have a lot of gadgets.
04:24 So this is really functional for everyone to live in
04:29 and improve the water tank we made in our house.
04:33 So I'm pretty sure there are a lot of homeowners who want to do this.
04:38 For the construction of this tank house,
04:40 I spent around Php 200,000.
04:44 Some people find it cheap, some people find it expensive.
04:47 So it depends on the house.
04:50 At the price of Php 60,000 to Php 80,000,
04:53 meaning the wall is already there, it's finished,
04:55 it can be used as a bed, or a roof.
04:59 But the finishing, the important parts, or the lighting,
05:03 it's not yet there.
05:05 But if you make it a place you can be proud of,
05:09 if you invite a visitor,
05:11 it's there for Php 200,000.
05:13 Our tank house, or tiny house,
05:16 is open for everyone to visit right now.
05:20 It's free, if you come here, we don't charge you.
05:23 Actually, for those who visit here,
05:25 everyone is happy.
05:27 It's something new in their eyes.
05:29 And when they enter, it's complete.
05:31 The refrigerator fits,
05:33 the microwave oven fits,
05:36 there's also a stove, a cooker, a CR,
05:39 there's a sofa, it fits.
05:41 So it's like, wow!
05:43 And when you go upstairs,
05:45 you can have two more beds, there's also a receiving area.
05:48 So it's like they have hope,
05:51 they have excitement, they've become kids.
