Moncada, Tarlac — Welcome to Don Juanito Baldonado Farm in the scenic town of Moncada, Tarlac. This enchanting farm house holds a remarkable tale of love, dedication, and fulfilling a father's dream.
Once envisioned by the owner's beloved father, this 900k peso farm house project commenced, brimming with hopes of creating a serene retreat for the family to cherish for generations to come. Tragically, fate had other plans, and just after one month of construction, the owner's father passed away, leaving behind an unfinished dream.
Determined to honor her father's memory and carry on his legacy, the owner bravely decided to continue the construction of the farm house. Driven by her own success in business, which her father took immense pride in, she embraced her father's vision of a tranquil farm retreat.
Incorporating elements from Filipino ancestral houses, the farmhouse exudes the charm and warmth of tradition. Infused with a touch of Spanish design, manifested through the pristine white accents and concrete touches, the house stands as a unique architectural masterpiece.
Moreover, the farmhouse's inspiration also stemmed from watching the OG channel on YouTube, which added to the owner's passion and determination to make this dream a reality.

00:00 Hello OG, I'm Wina Baldonado.
00:02 We're here at Moncada Tarilac.
00:04 Welcome to our farmhouse.
00:06 Welcome to Don Juanito Baldonado Farm.
00:08 Come, let's continue.
00:10 Don Juanito Baldonado Farm.
00:21 It was called Don Juanito Baldonado Farm
00:24 because that's my father's name, Juanito Baldonado.
00:27 So he was the one who started this project.
00:31 That's why when we continued this project,
00:33 we just named it after him.
00:35 It started actually April of 2021.
00:40 That was during the pandemic.
00:42 But one month after this project, he passed away.
00:47 So this was his last project.
00:56 His initial plan was,
00:58 since I am the owner of Above Sea Level,
01:00 he said, "Since your business is making money,
01:04 why not buy a farm lot?"
01:06 Of course, as an entrepreneur,
01:08 we couldn't see the value of a farmhouse or farm lot
01:13 because we really wanted to do business.
01:15 He said, "The value of the land is increasing."
01:20 So he convinced me, and he bought a 3-hectare lot.
01:23 That's why Don Juanito Baldonado Farm is here.
01:26 The whole lot is 3 hectares.
01:37 The floor area of the house is around 100 square meters.
01:42 The inspiration for our farmhouse is ancestral homes.
01:52 So when you go here,
01:54 it's like you're transporting in Spanish times.
01:57 If you can see the design of our farmhouse,
02:00 it's a mix of Filipino and Spanish design.
02:04 Because there's concrete underneath.
02:06 So, of course, we're here on the farm,
02:08 so the foundation needs to be sturdy.
02:12 So this is the design we made.
02:15 When we started building this,
02:20 I appreciated it.
02:22 It's becoming popular now,
02:24 the idea of building houses, farmhouses, and farmlands.
02:29 So I checked on YouTube,
02:32 and I saw OG Channel's episodes first.
02:36 So every time I have something to do,
02:39 I see the design, and I'll copy it.
02:43 So actually, I'm not an architect,
02:46 I'm not an engineer.
02:48 My brother is an electrical engineer.
02:50 So he's the one who planned this house.
02:52 So he's also getting his inspiration from OG Channel.
02:56 Here in our farmhouse, we have four bedrooms.
03:04 So two, without air-conditioning,
03:10 so they can feel like they're on a farm.
03:13 And then downstairs,
03:14 there are two air-conditioned rooms.
03:18 [music]
03:20 Each has its own bathroom.
03:26 Then there's a kitchen.
03:30 A common bathroom in the living room.
03:34 And then here in this farm,
03:37 there's a basketball court.
03:39 We also added a bonfire area,
03:42 because we saw it on OG.
03:43 Then eventually, we'll probably add a pool,
03:46 because this is a work-in-progress house.
03:49 And then you'll see,
03:55 I also have a mini office that I made.
03:58 So right after work, when I'm stressed,
04:01 I'll just go out there to have coffee,
04:03 then check the scenery,
04:05 and I'll be relaxed.
04:06 When we were making this farmhouse,
04:16 of course, there was a pandemic,
04:17 and a lot of establishments were closed,
04:19 construction, hardware, and so on.
04:22 So we had no choice but to look for
04:24 what we had in our house.
04:26 That's why we were able to save,
04:29 because we mostly looked for
04:31 what we already had.
04:33 So in this area,
04:39 it's a continuation of our Filipino
04:41 and Spanish design.
04:43 So if you can see,
04:45 we have an elegant staircase here.
04:48 As you can see, there's an outdoor area here.
04:50 This is where the debu and weddings are held.
04:53 And with this concrete design as well,
04:56 this serves as an extension
04:58 to our house.
04:59 For the house,
05:08 we only spent around Php 900,000,
05:11 almost less than a million.
05:12 Because at first,
05:14 our plan was to have a small house.
05:17 Then it grew,
05:19 because we were able to find materials
05:21 in our old house
05:23 that we could use.
05:25 That's why we didn't spend a lot here.
05:27 My advice to those who want to build
05:38 their own farmhouse,
05:40 events place, or house,
05:42 if you really want to build it,
05:44 go for it.
05:45 Even if your capital is small.
05:47 Because you can start with a simple idea,
05:49 "I'll build my house."
05:51 Then while you're saving,
05:53 just keep on expanding it.
05:55 And then don't expect
05:58 what will happen
05:59 while you're expanding it.
06:00 Because you'll have a lot of ideas to think about.
06:03 And then eventually,
06:03 it'll become your business.
06:06 Because you'll have a lot to do.
06:08 Since we always stay here,
06:10 and I'm the owner of Above Sea Level Restaurant,
06:12 they train here in Mangkada, Tarlac.
06:15 Every time, a franchisee opens.
06:17 So they are looking for an accommodation
06:20 or place to stay,
06:22 that's cheap.
06:23 So I thought,
06:24 why not offer
06:26 the farmhouse that my father built
06:29 for them.
06:30 I'm inviting you
06:32 to visit Don Juanito Baldonado Farm
06:36 here in Mangkada, Tarlac.
06:38 It's now open for public.
06:39 It can hold 20 to 30 packs.
06:42 So you can enjoy the whole 3 hectare farm lot
06:45 for only P10,000 a night.
06:47 The amenities are already inclusive,
06:50 like the
06:51 water,
06:52 the food,
06:53 the water supply,
06:54 the water, the water supply,
06:55 for only P10,000 a night.
06:57 The amenities are already inclusive,
06:59 like our basketball court.
07:01 You can go biking in the morning and afternoon
07:03 because it's cold here.
07:05 If you're interested,
07:06 you may reach us
07:08 at our Facebook page,

07:29 So that ends our tour
07:31 here at Don Juanito Baldonado Farm.
