00:00 The Prophet of the Arabs
00:15 The Prophet of the Arabs
00:19 According to the story of Ibn Hibban,
00:22 there were several prophets appointed by the Arabs.
00:26 One of them was Prophet Shu'aib.
00:29 If we look at the story of Prophet Shu'aib,
00:32 it has a little similarity with the biography of the Prophet's Da'wah.
00:38 Watch the discussion in My Quran Time, Quran Salat Infa.
00:43 The Prophet of the Arabs
01:04 The angels said to those who disbelieved among his people,
01:17 "If you follow Shu'aib, you will be losers."
01:39 Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 106
01:42 Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
01:46 All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
01:48 Peace and blessings be upon the most honored of the prophets and messengers.
01:51 His Master Muhammad and his family and companions.
01:54 As-Salamu 'alaykum.
01:56 How are you, ladies and gentlemen,
01:58 parents, viewers at home,
02:01 or those in the studio as well?
02:04 Hopefully, we are all in the mercy of Allah SWT,
02:09 especially when we recite the Quran,
02:12 because the Prophet of Allah SWT explained that
02:16 those who sit together to recite the Quran,
02:20 they are actually above or together with them.
02:24 This is the explanation that will be given by the angels.
02:28 Reciting the Quran is one of the concepts of zikr,
02:33 in remembrance of Allah SWT.
02:35 We meet again today in My Quran Time, Quran Salat Infa.
02:39 Today, we will continue our study
02:42 in the 90th verse of Surah Al-A'raf,
02:45 where we are still discussing the story of Prophet Shu'aib.
02:50 As usual, with me, the famous choreographer
02:54 known all over the world, Ustaz Tirmizi.
02:57 How are you, Ustaz?
02:59 I'm fine, Alhamdulillah.
03:01 You are in good health.
03:02 Yes, I am.
03:03 InshaAllah, together with us in the Tajweed session
03:06 and also together listening to our recitation of the Quran today.
03:10 Before we start our study,
03:13 let's recite a short prayer together.
03:15 Subhanaka la ilma lana illa ma'allam tana innaka antal 'alimul hakim
03:20 Rabbi zirni ilma
03:23 Hopefully, Allah SWT will add more knowledge to our knowledge
03:26 and the most important is the useful knowledge
03:28 because the useful knowledge will remain when taught
03:32 and become our asset when we pass away.
03:36 Today, we will enter into the 90th verse to the 92nd verse.
03:40 Before that, ladies and gentlemen, let's pay attention to the synopsis
03:45 of the verse that we will read and study today,
03:48 which is in the 90th verse
03:51 about the bad behavior of the leaders of the disbelievers of the people of Prophet Shu'aib.
03:56 In the verses from the 91st to the 92nd,
04:00 the punishment and retribution for the people of the disbelievers.
04:05 As we have mentioned before,
04:09 the Prophet Shu'aib has a similar story to the one mentioned before.
04:14 In the biography of Ibn Hibban,
04:16 Rasulullah said that there were four prophets from among the Arabs,
04:19 namely Prophet Hud, Prophet Saleh, Prophet Shu'aib and Aqu,
04:24 i.e. the great prophet of the Prophet SAW.
04:26 Their stories are a bit similar,
04:28 there are a few similarities that happened to Rasulullah before.
04:32 Before we start our discussion,
04:35 let's read and enjoy this Malaysia,
04:39 enjoy the whole world with the reading of the verse of the Quran
04:42 from our teaching which will be led by our Ustaz Tilmizi.
04:46 Please, Ustaz.
04:47 Alhamdulillah, thank you, Prof. Madia, Dr. Ahmad Sanusi,
04:52 for the introduction and introduction that gives us a freshness
04:58 to continue learning and being interested and enthusiastic with the Quran.
05:03 And I don't forget the viewers at home who are always loyal,
05:06 as usual, please spread and make the program of Al-Quran viral
05:13 to all our friends in our groups,
05:18 WhatsApp and everywhere.
05:21 Hopefully, this small effort is not looked down upon.
05:24 And it is looked down upon greatly.
05:25 Maybe we feel small on our side,
05:27 but in the sight of Allah SWT,
05:29 hopefully, it will be great, insyaAllah.
05:31 And also the audience in the studio from the Istikamah group.
05:37 Let's focus together.
05:38 How many verses are there today, Dr?
05:40 Verses 90 to 92.
05:42 Let's do it together.
05:44 I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
05:47 And the angels said to those who disbelieved among his people,
06:00 "If you follow Shu'ayb, then you will be losers."
06:22 But the thunder overtook them, and they became in that place dead.
06:43 Those who disbelieved in Shu'ayb, as if they did not know him.
06:58 Those who disbelieved in Shu'ayb, as if they did not know him.
07:16 I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
07:18 In the verse 90, Allah SWT said,
07:21 "And the great ones among his people,
07:23 i.e. the people of Prophet Shu'ayb,
07:24 who disbelieved among them,
07:27 if you follow Shu'ayb,
07:30 then you will be losers."
07:33 This is what I said earlier.
07:35 There are several similar stories between the Prophet Shu'ayb story
07:38 and the story that happened during the time of Rasulullah.
07:41 If we go back to the previous verse, verse 88,
07:45 the same advice or advocacy that was given by the people of Prophet Shu'ayb
07:52 or the leaders of the people of Prophet Shu'ayb,
07:54 their great-grandparents,
07:55 when Prophet Shu'ayb preached to his people,
07:59 the first threat or advice was given to Prophet Shu'ayb,
08:03 "We will expel you if you do this again.
08:09 We will drive you away."
08:11 Back to the time of Rasulullah,
08:13 the same thing happened.
08:15 When Rasulullah was first revealed,
08:17 he was afraid to meet Waraka.
08:21 Waraka bin Nawfal appeased Rasulullah.
08:23 Waraka bin Nawfal said,
08:25 "If I am still alive,
08:27 I will help you when your people expel you."
08:31 The first time he heard the words of Waraka, he was shocked.
08:36 Rasulullah said,
08:37 "Will they drive me away?
08:40 While I am the one who has the position in the Quraysh,
08:44 they want to drive me away?"
08:45 Then Waraka said,
08:47 "No one who brings this message
08:50 will be driven away."
08:52 Similar to the story of Rasulullah.
08:54 The second point is the same.
08:56 "Wa qalal mal'al ladhi nakafaru min qawmihi
08:59 la in taba'atum Shu'ayban innahum idhan la khasirun."
09:02 "If you follow Prophet Shu'ayb,
09:04 when you cannot preach to him,
09:07 you cannot threaten him,
09:08 you cannot threaten him,
09:10 then he turns to his followers."
09:12 This is the same.
09:14 When Rasulullah was to be driven away,
09:16 he could not leave the message
09:18 or the preaching that was brought to him.
09:22 So, he turned to the followers of Prophet Muhammad.
09:26 The followers of Rasulullah were initially given support,
09:29 but were later threatened.
09:31 We have to look at this again.
09:33 Actually, people understand that
09:35 the majority of those threatened are weak people.
09:37 But they do not know that Abu Bakar
09:39 was once trampled to a point of faint
09:42 with the shoes of...
09:44 Not the shoes,
09:45 but with the shoes trampled by
09:48 al-Walid bin Aqabah bin Abi Mu'ayyad,
09:51 if I am not mistaken,
09:52 until Abu Bakar fainted.
09:53 This is what Abu Bakar remembers the most.
09:55 Saidina Uthman was once rolled up in a carpet or a blanket,
09:59 then burned or burned.
10:01 This means that the elite were also threatened
10:04 during the time of Rasulullah.
10:06 The same is with the story of Prophet Shu'ayb.
10:08 When Rasulullah or Prophet Shu'ayb
10:11 cannot be trampled,
10:12 cannot be trampled,
10:13 then they will return to their people.
10:16 Later we will see how the attack or threat
10:20 or the poison,
10:21 is it really poison?
10:22 Meaning they poisoned the thoughts
10:24 of the followers of Prophet Shu'ayb.
10:26 To distance themselves from the preaching
10:29 that was conveyed by them.
10:31 This is the introduction,
10:33 the beginning of our discussion today.
10:36 We take a break for a while.

14:11 Alhamdulillah, we meet again in
14:14 My Quran Time, Quran Salat Infa.
14:16 Where today we discuss,
14:18 we deepen the discussion about
14:21 the 90th verse to the 92nd verse.
14:24 Where we discussed about the
14:27 characteristics that occurred,
14:29 the pressure, the threat that was
14:31 inflicted on Prophet Shu'ayb and his followers
14:33 was similar to what happened to
14:35 Rasulullah SAW.
14:37 Based on the 90th verse,
14:39 the followers of Prophet Shu'ayb,
14:41 their elders, when they failed
14:43 to threaten, threaten,
14:45 to oppress Prophet Shu'ayb,
14:47 they turned their attention
14:49 or their target
14:51 to the followers of Prophet Shu'ayb.
14:53 They started to threaten,
14:55 they said, "If you do not lie
14:57 in your weighing, if you do not
14:59 steal among the bad habits
15:01 that were done by the followers of
15:03 Prophet Shu'ayb, they threatened.
15:05 If you do not do this and that,
15:07 you will be in loss. If you do not
15:09 eat the riba, you will be in loss.
15:11 If you do not take the raswah,
15:13 you will be in loss." The picture was like that.
15:15 They gave the threats to the followers
15:17 of Prophet Shu'ayb. And this is actually
15:19 the same in the time of Rasulullah SAW,
15:21 the great, great, great,
15:23 if what was done by Abu Lahab,
15:25 he followed Rasulullah.
15:27 The people who wanted to approach Rasulullah,
15:29 he would say, "Do not listen to him.
15:31 He is a mad man."
15:33 Or if we want to see what is more
15:35 detailed happened in the family
15:37 of Umm Sulaim. Umm Sulaim
15:39 was the mother to
15:41 Saidina Anas bin Malik,
15:43 that is the mother to Anas bin Malik.
15:45 When Umm Sulaim
15:47 embraced Islam, Malik, that is
15:49 to Umm Sulaim,
15:51 it is mentioned in the narration,
15:53 he was not in Madinah.
15:55 It means when Umm Sulaim was a believer,
15:57 he was not in Madinah. When he
15:59 returned to Madinah, he saw
16:01 his wife embraced Islam.
16:03 Then he said, "As-sabaw ting,
16:05 you have been raped."
16:07 Or you have been beaten.
16:09 Like what happened to Prophet Shu'ayb,
16:11 he said, "Inna kaminal
16:13 musaharin."
16:15 If I am not mistaken,
16:17 you have been raped.
16:19 You have been beaten up.
16:21 It is the same as what happened to Umm Sulaim.
16:23 Then Umm Sulaim said,
16:25 "As-sabaw ting,
16:27 I have not been raped,
16:29 walakinni
16:31 mantu bihadhar wajul.
16:33 I am a believer with this man."
16:35 Look at that.
16:37 At first, he tried to doubt
16:39 Umm Sulaim. When he saw
16:41 he failed to doubt Umm Sulaim,
16:43 he found that Umm Sulaim
16:45 was not only a believer,
16:47 but he tried to teach
16:49 Anas bin Malik to be a believer.
16:51 Then in the narration, he said,
16:53 "Wa ja'ala talqinu
16:55 'ala ibnihi ibn-hah."
16:57 He said, "Oh, Umm Sulaim
16:59 started to teach his son,
17:01 Sayyidina Anas,
17:03 to read or say
17:05 the Shahada. Then
17:07 his father, Malik, said,
17:09 "Jangan la tufsidi.
17:11 Jangan rosakkan alaiya ibni.
17:13 Jangan rosakkan anak aku."
17:15 Look at that. When he failed
17:17 to hold the da'wah
17:19 from one person to another,
17:21 he tried to return
17:23 to the person who was under his influence,
17:25 which was his own son.
17:27 Until he caused
17:29 he remained.
17:31 Meaning, Sayyidina Anas bin Malik remained
17:33 to embrace Islam. Finally,
17:35 his father was killed. I do not remember what he caused.
17:37 But Umm Sulaim insisted
17:39 after that, he would not get married
17:41 except after Anas agreed
17:43 and so on. Because after that,
17:45 he was married to Abu Talha.
17:47 If I am not mistaken, based on his story. Look here.
17:49 If he failed to control
17:51 the people who conveyed the da'wah,
17:53 then the people who were his audience,
17:55 the people who were his followers,
17:57 are the same as us today. When we
17:59 conveyed the da'wah, people stopped us.
18:01 "Oh, you cannot do that, Ustaz.
18:03 You cannot do that." They said.
18:05 He failed to stop it. Then, the people
18:07 who were around him said,
18:09 "Don't listen to this Ustaz. It is not true."
18:11 They said. The incitement
18:13 was more horrific than that.
18:15 Actually, Prophet Shu'aib and his people
18:17 were not among the people
18:19 of the Prophet who were
18:21 against his people. Because
18:23 among the Prophet, for example,
18:25 Rasulullah was a Prophet
18:27 who fought against his people.
18:29 But not Prophet Shu'aib.
18:31 Prophet Shu'aib was preaching, preaching, preaching.
18:33 When they were against him,
18:35 he did not succeed
18:37 in accepting the Prophet
18:39 or the incitement of Prophet Shu'aib.
18:41 Then, Allah Almighty sent punishment on them.
18:43 If we see, when the da'wah
18:45 did not succeed, then why Allah Almighty
18:47 handed the matter to Allah?
18:49 But Rasulullah SAW,
18:51 when the da'wah did not succeed,
18:53 he did jihad on his people.
18:55 This is what we see. How
18:57 when the da'wah did not succeed,
18:59 it was rejected or suppressed,
19:01 then it will give threat
19:03 from the physical aspect.
19:05 This happened to Abdullah bin Hudhafa
19:07 or also called
19:09 or was named Abu Hudhafa.
19:11 He tried to
19:13 deliver the da'wah and he fought
19:15 until the emperor of Rome,
19:17 when he was arrested,
19:19 he was arrested.
19:21 When he was arrested,
19:23 the emperor of Rome
19:25 at that time, offered him
19:27 "If you embrace the Christians
19:29 and leave the religion of Muhammad,
19:31 I will give you a portion of my wealth."
19:33 He offered him his wealth.
19:35 He offered him money.
19:37 Then, Abdullah bin Hudhafa or also called Abu Hudhafa
19:39 said, "If you give me all your wealth,
19:41 I will not accept it. I will stick to my religion.
19:43 If so, I will crucify you."
19:45 Then, he was crucified.
19:47 Christians have their own crucifixion.
19:49 He was crucified, he was lifted to a high place,
19:51 then he was shot with an arrow.
19:53 He was stabbed first.
19:55 Like when people put an apple,
19:57 the apple was smashed.
19:59 If it hit, it smashed your head.
20:01 Abdullah bin Hudhafa still remained.
20:03 He was brought down again,
20:05 the fire was lit.
20:07 Some said, "Take oil."
20:09 Some said, "Take water."
20:11 He was shaken.
20:13 He was taken to another prison.
20:15 He was thrown into the oil
20:17 until the flesh was burnt.
20:19 When the situation was like this,
20:21 he was threatened to be thrown.
20:23 Abdullah bin Hudhafa,
20:25 they saw Abdullah bin Hudhafa started crying.
20:27 Then, the emperor of Rome said,
20:29 "He has started to shake."
20:31 He said, "He has started to shake."
20:33 Then, he was called,
20:35 "Do you want to be disbelievers to Muhammad
20:37 and I will save you?"
20:39 Then, he was asked,
20:41 "What made you cry?"
20:43 Then, Abdullah bin Hudhafa said,
20:45 "I cried not because I was afraid
20:47 to be thrown.
20:49 I cried because I only had one life.
20:51 If possible, I want thousands of lives
20:53 like the hair that is in my body
20:55 so that I can be thrown
20:57 many times
20:59 and get the reward of the martyr's death."
21:01 Allahu Akbar!
21:03 This is an extraordinary story.
21:05 Abdullah bin Hudhafa
21:07 failed to be saved.
21:09 He wanted to leave this religion.
21:11 He was threatened from a physical aspect.
21:13 He also failed because he had
21:15 such a great person.
21:17 The story of his failure
21:19 was finally
21:21 offered to him
21:23 by the emperor of Rome.
21:25 He saw that he could not
21:27 disturb such a person
21:29 because he had such a strong faith.
21:31 He said, "Do you want to kiss my head?
21:33 I will set you free."
21:35 He reached that level.
21:37 Abdullah bin Hudhafa was smart
21:39 and refused.
21:41 He said, "Can I do it with other prisoners?"
21:43 He said, "Yes."
21:45 He was willing to do it
21:47 to free other prisoners
21:49 who were trapped
21:51 by the Roman army.
21:53 This is an interesting teaching.
21:55 We see how the people were
21:57 threatened to be
21:59 exiled.
22:01 Like Nuh Rijan Naka'iah Shuaib.
22:03 He was threatened
22:05 to be exiled
22:07 and not to succeed.
22:09 He was also threatened
22:11 to be physically threatened.
22:13 Sometimes, such things
22:15 happen in this day and age.
22:17 This is a teaching
22:19 that we can take from the 90th verse
22:21 of Surah Al-A'raf.
22:23 Before that, let's
22:25 pay attention to
22:27 the word "Mu'jam".
22:29 Is it the word we chose today
22:31 that is taken from the 91st verse
22:33 which is
22:35 the word "Jathama"
22:37 which is taken from the verse
22:39 "Fa'asbahu fidarihim jathimin"
22:41 which means "Falling down"
22:43 or "Falling down"
22:45 in the Quran
22:47 five times.
22:49 From Surah Al-A'raf,
22:51 Surah Hud,
22:53 and Surah Al-Ankabut.
22:55 This is a description of
22:57 the situation of the people.
22:59 We will talk about
23:01 the torment that was inflicted
23:03 on the people of Prophet Shuaib.
23:05 They were wandering
23:07 and
23:09 they were in a mess
23:11 because of what they did
23:13 to the people of Prophet Shuaib.
23:15 They wanted to expel Prophet Shuaib.
23:17 They were the ones who were trapped
23:19 and wandered around
23:21 in the land that they
23:23 were actually threatening
