Transcript
00:00Good morning everybody, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press on Monday,
00:03June the 3rd, just bringing you some headlines today. First of all, some sad news to bring you.
00:08Tributes have been paid to a senior Doncaster Royal Air Force man who has sadly passed away.
00:15Retired Flight Lieutenant Ian Cairns was 84 and he was heavily involved in the
00:211053 Armthorpe Squadron for many years. He was also a key member of a number of local
00:28RAF associations during his lengthy career. So our thoughts are with his family and his friends
00:36at this very sad time. Then also we have something the police sent out. Three prolific shoplifters
00:44have been jailed. They individually went on shopping sprees in the city centre.
00:52They stole, one stole hundreds of pounds worth of underwear from Ann Summers. They stole alcohol,
00:58foodstuffs from from Greggs and the likes. So the full story is on the website today
01:05and their sentences also. Then finally, a piece we've done in previously, obviously we do our
01:15food hygiene ratings. Last week we reported on one that had previously been condemned and was
01:20then given a one star rating for following a visit in April this year. The restaurant
01:27Otto in Sprockborough have now spoken out explaining that they're bringing their hand
01:32standards up to scratch and cleanliness and hygiene is of the utmost importance to them.
01:38There is a full statement from them on the story on the website today as well so you can have a
01:44read of that. So for those three stories and for anything else that's happening in Doncaster today
01:49visit www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk or also keep up to date with Facebook and Exxon. Have a great day.
