The Johor Immigration Department has arrested 26 illegal immigrants during a raid in Johor Baru.

The department's acting director Mohd Faizal Shamsudin said the raid was conducted on seven premises under Ops Sapu and Ops Selera at midnight on Monday (June 3).

00:20One of the premises had been converted into a place of worship by the immigrants and an
00:25illegal restaurant operated by foreigners was also uncovered.
00:29The arrests included 16 men and a woman from Myanmar, seven men from Indonesia, a man from
00:35India and a woman from Thailand, all aged between 22 and 47.
00:41The case is being investigated for abuse of social visit passes and for overstaying and
00:46entering the country without valid travel documents.
