00:00As such, we, the residents, are not satisfied and so we are giving a report along with the
00:09evidence that we have collected.
00:12Residents of a condominium in Mount Kiara have filed a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption
00:17Commission over allegations of corruption and abuse of power by the building's joint
00:22management body.
00:24A representative of the residents, Zuhilman Sulaiman, claimed that the JMB had awarded
00:30a maintenance contract worth RM3.3 million to a company that had not been audited since
00:362013.
00:38Questions arose after it was revealed during an annual general meeting last year that the
00:43value of the contract was higher than the actual costs involved.
00:48The company in question is also believed to be linked to certain individuals in the JMB.
00:54Zuhilman said the residents had to pay between RM800 and RM2,000 in monthly maintenance fees.
01:03Zuhilman's report follows allegations of a JMB cartel linked to a DAP representative
01:08and his special officer, who are accused of interfering in the appointments of the JMB
01:13leadership and the joint management corporation.
