DOJ and FTC Sue Adobe Over Hidden Termination Fees in Creative Cloud Plans

The U.S. Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission have filed a lawsuit against Adobe for imposing hidden termination fees on subscribers who want to cancel their Adobe Creative Cloud plans. Adobe signs customers up for an annual contract by default when they sign up for a free trial and are then charged, even though the service is described as month-to-month. Canceling the annual contract requires customers to pay 50% of the "remaining contractual obligation" as a termination fee, despite the fact that their service ends that month.
