Matt Higgins shows how to use the Gippy Bale Feeder.
Transcript
00:00The feeder was basically designed just for our cattle farm. I'm a fifth generation mountain
00:05cattleman. We've always liked to keep things pretty simple, trying to avoid big expensive
00:11machinery especially when we're up in the mountains and long distance between farms.
00:15So basically a real simple unit, you plug the bale on, it's a one-man operation, you cut the
00:20string, you hop in the cab and you get a wireless remote and you feed out your bale of hay and you
00:25can be in remote areas or anywhere really and you don't need to tag trailers around and expensive
00:32machinery basically. So that was its design feature, it was to keep it simple. So just
00:38imagine you've got your bale of hay on here, you've cut your strings, you jump in the cab,
00:41you've got your wireless remote, your unit's back in gear and you just drive along and you just
00:48inch the bale, just watch the mirror, watch the hay biscuits fall off. You can go as fast or slow as you want.
01:10This is really advantageous in hill country, the last biscuit will sit up on here,
01:15that sort of carries the weight and when it gets to the end of the run,
01:19it'll kick up and throw that last biscuit off.
