00:11They asked for a statement from Dato' Wan Saiful,

00:14which is more or less like this,

00:17if possible this morning,

00:19on the morning of February 28th.

00:21Versatu MP Wan Saiful Wan Jan has produced purported proof

00:26to back his claim that the court charges brought against him

00:29could be dropped if he declared support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

00:33At a press conference in Parliament today,

00:36Wan Saiful shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation he had

00:39with an alleged middleman who offered to settle his ongoing corruption case.

00:44He also produced pictures of a meeting he allegedly held

00:47with several individuals over his court case.

00:50Wan Saiful said he wanted to furnish the evidence

00:53to a special parliamentary committee,

00:55but did not get the opportunity to do so.

00:57He also said he did not file a complaint with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission

01:01because he did not trust the agency anymore.
