Ingredients:
1½ tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
2 Dried Red Chillies
2 Green Chillies
¼ tsp Asafoetida
6-8 Garlic Cloves (sliced)
12-14 Curry Leaves
1 Onion (sliced)
1 Tomato (chopped)
20-25 Button Mushrooms (thick slices)
1 tsp Coriander-Cumin Seed Powder
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
A pinch of Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tsp Cornstarch
Salt (as per taste)
Coriander Leaves (chopped)
Black Peppercorns (crushed)
Coriander Leaves (for garnish)

00:05So let's see a quick and easy recipe for Mushroom Pepper Fry.
00:08In a pan, let's heat up 1 and 1 half tbsp of Oil.
00:13Once the Oil is nice and hot, let's add in a tsp of Mustard Seeds.
00:182 Dry Red Chillies.
00:212 Green Chillies, I've just cut them into half.
00:251 tsp Asafoetida.
00:276-8 Garlic sliced.
00:30Few Curry Leaves.
00:37Let the Garlic change colour.
00:39Next add in 1 Onion shredded.
00:45Cook the Onion till nice and soft.
00:47The Onions are cooked and now I'm going to add in 1 Tomato finely chopped.
00:55Cook the Tomatoes till nice and soft.
01:00Here I have 20-25 Mushrooms that I've cut into thick slices.
01:10Cook the Mushroom down.
01:11They're going to shrink a lot in size, so make sure you cut them into big pieces.
01:17While the Mushrooms are cooking, let's add in all the dry spices.
01:23I have Coriander, Cumin Seed Powder here, so around a tsp.
01:26Half a tsp of Red Chilli Powder.
01:29Just a pinch of Turmeric Powder.
01:321 tsp of Garam Masala Powder.
01:39As you can see, the Mushroom has oozed out a lot of water.
01:43So just to thicken the gravy, I'm going to sprinkle a tsp of Corn Starch or Corn Flour.
01:50Give it a stir.
01:51The Mushrooms have cooked down completely, turn off the flame.
01:55And now I'm going to add in Salt, Coriander Leaves and some Crushed Pepper.
02:00Salt to taste.
02:04Coriander Leaves.
02:06And our star ingredient, some Crushed Pepper.
02:11Make sure it's coarsely ground.
02:13And now I'm going to add in 1 tsp of Cumin Seed Powder.

02:19Make sure it's coarsely ground and not a fine powder.
02:24This can be eaten just by itself like an appetizer or can be eaten with Hot Rotis or Paratha.
