00:00So, Will, looking at the summer window, obviously very slow news so far. A lot of Liverpool
00:08players aren't on international duty, whether that be at Copa America or Euro 2024. I mean,
00:15in terms of a transfer roundup, there's obviously not much to discuss just yet, but are there
00:19any plans in place for a decently big window, or how can you see the window going as a whole
00:26in terms of the expenditure and how they go in terms of preparing for the new season?
00:32Yeah, there have been a lot of links so far for Liverpool, but it doesn't seem there's anything
00:36really fully concrete. If you're looking at some of the players who've been linked to positions,
00:43it looks like centre-half and maybe an additional forward coming. I mean,
00:49we only have to look at past years. Liverpool don't really overhaul the squad. Last summer
00:55was a little bit of an anomaly when they brought four midfielders in, but I think everyone knew
00:59that a midfield rebuild was needed, and then for being on, Jordan Henderson leaving the club. But
01:06quite a few centre-backs who've been linked. Lenny Yorrow at Lille, who's one of the most
01:13highly thought of players in Europe, young player in Europe, 18, played 44 games for Lille last
01:19season, so he's qualified for the Champions League. He's one who's on the shopping list,
01:24but Real Madrid is reportedly his preference. I mean, same old story for Liverpool, that with
01:32Tewa Mene going there a couple of years ago, and obviously Jude Bellingham. So Liverpool,
01:38I don't think they'll learn, but maybe they're just waiting in the wings for a new centre-back
01:43might be on the radar. And then, yeah, potentially another forward as well,
01:49maybe a right-sided forward, someone who can maybe be a long-term successor for Mo Salah,
01:54because Liverpool haven't really got anyone in the squad who can play in the right wing as well.
01:59And I think maybe it calls up on Mo Salah last season. He's played a lot of football
02:06since arriving at Liverpool. They've laid all their cards out on the table for the bid for
02:11Caicedo that came out of nowhere. Can you see that happening ever again in the future for Liverpool?
02:18Well, it's a bit of a precedent, isn't it, that Liverpool, if the right player is there,
02:24the owners are willing to splash the cash for them. Maybe that's always been a bit of a slight
02:29on the owners, is that are they willing to go out and spend these big fees, and people come back
02:36and say, oh, they only bought Van Dijk and Alisson in because they sold Coutinho for all that money.
02:41He's worth that deal. They'll back the staff. So, yes, I mean, if the right player comes up
02:47for Liverpool, you think, right, we need to go and get him because we can't miss this window,
02:52then the owners will put the money up. But, yes, it depends whether there are
02:55any players of that ilk who they want this summer.
