Best pubs to watch the Euros 2024: Brewhouse Kitchen

00:00With the Euros in full swing, people are flocking to pubs in Portsmouth to catch the action.

00:11We have a number of great pub gardens in the city, but I've come to a little-known and

00:14unheralded Roof Terrace in the heart of Portsmouth, which is screened to watch the Euros.

00:19The Brewhouse and Kitchen in Guildhall Walk is the perfect place to see the game without

00:22missing out on the sunshine.

00:26Yeah, so I'm Bobby, I'm the assistant manager here at Brewhouse and Kitchen Portsmouth.

00:32So we're on the Roof Terrace here, which I didn't know anything about to be honest.

00:38You can't reserve it, can you or anything like that?

00:40You can reserve it.

00:42So now and again we do buffets and we do mini private hires.

00:48So recently we had someone's engagement party, I'm pretty sure.

00:53So they booked the whole Roof Terrace out.

00:55They had a buffet and luckily the sun was out so they could enjoy it.

01:01Yeah, that's a good thing.

01:03It's been fairly busy.

01:05Father's Day, obviously with the England game, it's fairly busy.

01:09Then it depends on what game.

01:12With students gone now, it's trying to get the locals in.

01:17There's a local team.

01:19So we had a few for the Polish games, a few for the first Ukraine game.

01:27But it's just a case of whoever's about.

01:30Usually people already know, so if you walk past, on the windows it says

01:36secret, not so secret, Roof Terrace.

01:39So we get a few people come in and be like, what's that on the window?

01:45While it was quiet when I visited, it does get busier for the bigger games

01:49as there is limited seating.

01:51So it's definitely worth getting there early to get prime location in front of the big screen.

01:55Now it is a sun trap, but with lots of shaded areas to get respite in the middle of the day

01:59and a good selection of home brewed beers to keep you refreshed.

02:03Or to drown your sorrows when it becomes apparent that it's not coming home.
