00:24Daryl Dixon vs Beta, The Walking Dead.
00:30Where is she?
00:34When the enormous Beta and his fellow Whisperers pursue Daryl Dixon in pursuit of their leader's
00:39daughter, Daryl sets up a trap for them in an office building.
00:43While he's able to kill Beta's men easily enough, Beta himself is another matter.
00:48A vicious fight ensues with both combatants using knives,
00:51saws, and two-by-fours against each other.
00:54Where is she?
01:00Finally, Daryl manages to use the unfinished construction site to hide
01:06and then surprise Beta, pushing him down an elevator shaft.
01:10It's an epic clash between two of the series' most capable fighters.
01:14If not for the zombie apocalypse, it could have sold out a stadium of viewers.

01:23Sidney Bristow vs. Alison Doran, Alias.

01:31Sure.
01:33Sidney Bristow and her roommate Francie are relaxing at home
01:37when the former receives a message identifying Francie as an imposter.
01:41After testing her, Sidney goes to retrieve her gun,
01:44but is confronted by Alison, the not-Francie.
01:47I just remembered.
01:50Francie doesn't like coffee ice cream.
01:54No, she doesn't.
01:55The two then engage in a no-holds-barred brawl throughout their house.
01:59Glass, furniture, and probably plenty of bones are broken in the ensuing fight.
02:09Some of the moves are acrobatic and stylized, but most are quick and brutal.
02:14Sidney eventually retrieves her gun to shoot the woman masquerading as her friend.
02:18All in all, it's one of the most intense fights between two women ever put on TV.
02:23Number 8.
02:24Geralt vs. Renfri's Gang, The Witcher.
02:28As the titular Witcher, Geralt of Rivia hunts monsters,
02:32but sometimes those monsters end up being human too.
02:35When Renfri threatens to slaughter her way through a town to get at a sorcerer,
02:39Geralt decides to choose the lesser evil and fights her and her gang.
02:43She gave us a message to pass on to you.
02:46You have to choose the lesser evil.
02:48It's an ultimatum.
02:50Get it?
02:51Geralt cuts through her men in increasingly gruesome ways
02:54in a continuous shot that's beautifully executed.
02:57As if that wasn't fantastic enough, he then duels with Renfri herself.
03:02Leave Blaviken.
03:05It's not too late.
03:07Magic doesn't work on me.
03:10Silver does though.
03:11Silver is for monsters.
03:12The matchup between Geralt's greatsword and Renfri's smaller sword and dagger
03:17makes for some great choreography.
03:19Ultimately though, Geralt is forced to kill her with her own knife.
03:23With its combination of tragedy and bloody action,
03:26this fight is a fantastic distillation of the best parts of The Witcher.
03:31The girl in the wizarding with you always.
03:36She is your destiny.
03:37Number 7.
03:38Prison Fight.
03:40Reacher.
03:40The premiere of this action series starts with a bang.
03:44If you boys know what's about to happen to you, you leave now.
03:47Titular hero Jack Reacher is stuck in prison for a crime he didn't commit.
03:51Placed among the general population, along with a shifty banker,
03:55they're harassed by several inmates.
03:58Later in the bathroom, they're attacked by a whole gang.
04:01Reacher warns them off before attacking first.
04:08His methodical, brutal takedowns of each of his foes is a sight to behold.
04:12Bones are broken, heads are smashed into sinks, and eyes are gouged out.
04:17It's overwhelmingly one-sided, but we love it all the same.
04:21Anyone asks, you've been here the whole time.
04:25Number 6.
04:26Melinda May vs. Agent 33.
04:29Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
04:34I can't believe I'm the only one seeing this right now.
04:36As the woman they call The Cavalry,
04:38Melinda May has plenty of great fight scenes in this show.
04:42But perhaps her greatest fight is with herself.
04:46Sort of.
04:46After her doppelganger, Agent 33, is exposed,
04:50May engages her double in a mirror match in a hotel room.
04:57The duo fight all over the room, performing flips to twist out of grips,
05:02throwing each other over counters, and the table slam will never get old.
05:07Speaking of never getting old,
05:09does anyone else have a hard time believing actress Ming-Na Wen was in her 50s here?
05:14Crazy, right?
05:15May wins by electrocution,
05:17ensuring that Agent 33 looks a little less like her from now on.
05:22The best part about killing you is that I won't have to be you anymore.
05:26If you were really me, you wouldn't talk so much.
05:33Number 5.
05:34Nola Longshadow vs. Clay Burton.
05:37Banshee.
05:38So you're Proctor's big bad watchdog.
05:41You don't look so tough from where I'm standing.
05:44This criminally underrated show is loaded with some of the most brutal fight scenes on TV,
05:49and this is arguably the best.
05:51Nola Longshadow announces her presence at Kai Proctor's house
05:55by throwing a hatchet into the chest of Proctor's man, Clay Burton.
05:59So here's the plan.
06:00Unwilling to let Nola kill his employer, Burton engages in a vicious fight with her.
06:05The duo grapple in and around Proctor's car,
06:08with the camera following them inside it and moving on top of it.
06:12Both accumulate wounds throughout, yet keep fighting.
06:15Finally, Burton manages to eke out a victory
06:18with the most gruesome use of a hood ornament you'll ever see.
06:21Bloody, well-choreographed, and expertly filmed, this fight fires on all cylinders.

06:35School Showdown – Cobra Kai
06:48With its martial arts focus, Cobra Kai features plenty of great fights,
06:53but few of them are as ambitious as this one.
06:56The rivalry between the titular dojo and Miyagi-Do explodes on the first day of school,
07:02after Tori calls out Sam over the PA.
07:09Fights between students of the rival karate dojos erupt throughout the hallways.
07:14Each fight has had plenty of build-up, and the payoff for each one is fantastic,
07:19with plenty of longer shots featuring multiple fights at once.
07:22It may end in tragedy, but while it lasts, we're every bit as invested as the onlookers.
07:28They may not pay Mr. Palmer enough to intervene,
07:31but we'd pay good money to be ringside, as it were.

07:42The Red Viper vs. The Mountain – Game of Thrones
07:54This epic fantasy series has several notable duels we considered.
07:59Although Brienne's fight with the Hound was a contender,
08:02we elected for a fight involving the latter's brother instead.
08:06To decide the fate of Tyrion Lannister in a trial by combat,
08:09Oberyn Martell, a.k.a. The Red Viper, duels Gregor Clegane, a.k.a. The Mountain.
08:26Oberyn's flashy spearwork proves a surprisingly good match
08:30against The Mountain's impressive reach.
08:32He even stabs Clegane several times, getting him on the ground.
08:36Unfortunately, Oberyn wants Clegane to confess to the assault and murder of his sister
08:41and her children, and doesn't make it quick.
08:47After getting too close, The Mountain obliterates Oberyn's head.
08:50It's a savage yet well-choreographed fight in a series infamous for graphic violence.
08:552. Final Battle – Into the Badlands
09:06Given its many wuxia-influenced fight scenes,
09:10picking just one fight from this post-apocalyptic series is difficult.
09:15Although the Widow and the Moon's fight was tempting,
09:18there's just no beating the final conflict of the show.
09:27The last battle of the series involves just about every major character left
09:32and lasts for around 10 minutes.
09:34While it's fought on multiple fronts,
09:36this gives all the combatants a chance for their unique fighting styles to be highlighted.
09:40All the character growth and improvement in fighting skills ensures that everyone
09:44is at the top of their games and that Into the Badlands goes out on one incredible high note.
09:53Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
09:57Assam vs Dylan Leary Round 2 – Warrior
10:00This match delivered on all fronts.
10:04Jack Bauer vs Abu Fayed – 24
10:12Jack gives this terrorist the chain.
10:21Bjorn vs Berserker – Vikings
10:24Quite the creative use of fish hooks.
10:34Arrow vs Dan Doherty – Deadwood
10:41Warehouse Fight – Arrow
10:43Arrow fights a lot of guys in warehouses, but this goes especially hard.
10:58Dan Doherty vs Captain Turner – Deadwood
11:02Just as grisly as two men beating each other in the street sounds.
11:32Number 1. Prison Escape – Daredevil
11:41This could have gone several ways, as Daredevil has several of TV's greatest fight scenes.
11:47The original long take hallway fight was a game changer.
11:50The brutality of the Punisher's own fight in prison is plenty memorable,
11:54but this fight is one of the most technically impressive achievements on TV.
12:02Trapped in a prison by the Kingpin during a prison riot,
12:10Matt Murdock must escape by fighting off assassins, warring gangs and corrupt prison guards.
12:16The entire sequence is filmed in a single uninterrupted take,
12:19which makes every hit and stunt that much more impressive.
12:23No matter how many times we watch it, and that's a lot,
12:26we're still left as breathless as Murdock by its conclusion.
