00:20She's only 7 years old when she noticed the gradual loss of her hair on her head and on her eyebrows.

00:37She got scared, so she stopped studying after being stabbed by a gunshot.

00:44In 2009, Sarah's mother approached the Jamaica Puso Foundation

00:52to get Sarah treated and to grow her hair again.

00:59But after 6 years, her condition returned.

01:06Now, she's hiding her baldness in a hat or wig

01:12that she bought for P100.

01:15She's trying to fix it so that she can face the people.

01:19I use a showglobe.

01:22Sometimes, when she doesn't want to stick to the wig,

01:25I stick it to the top of my head, even if it's a bit hard.

01:32Sarah is often told that she has a weak heart,

01:35but her two children give her strength.

01:39I can experience it even if I'm just a mesa boy.

01:43Of course, I'm also scared for my children.

01:48I'm not my own child. I'm a Panderanian.

01:55The Jamaica Puso Foundation asked Dr. Grace Beltran,

01:59a dermatologist, to examine Sarah again.

02:03This is called alopecia areata universalis.

02:06It's an autoimmune hair problem.

02:09Your own body is producing toxic chemicals

02:14in order for it to destroy the hair follicle.

02:16It can trigger stress.

02:19But basically, it's built in her body.
