00:16One evening, Henry's cat was watching TV when he saw a very interesting act.
00:21It was a hypnotist who proceeded to hypnotize a dog so that it felt no pain.

00:30Then he made the dog do all sorts of clever things,
00:32like balancing on his nose whilst playing the piano with his tail.

00:40Henry's cat thought that was very clever and wondered if he could do hypnotism.
00:44So, he tried it on himself in the mirror.
00:47Just something simple at first, like sending himself off to sleep.

00:52Which he succeeded in doing after about three hours.
00:56But when he awoke, he thought, well, perhaps he'd fallen asleep anyway.
00:59So, he decided to practice on his friends and help them do things they could not normally do.
01:05He met Sammy Snail first and said to him in a hypnotizing sort of voice,

01:42Ted immediately got up on his fine legs and started boxing a toadstool, shouting,

01:54And soon had Denise Duck singing.

02:10Chris Rabbit flying.

02:15Mosey Mouse performing like a sea lion.

02:21And even Myrtle the cow swimming on her back, squirting water in the air, thinking she was a whale.
02:26Henry's cat was very pleased with his success.
02:32But Farmer Jars, who had just arrived, was definitely not pleased when he saw Myrtle thinking she was a whale.
02:37And seeing Henry's cat, he shouted,
02:39Grrr! It's Henry's cat. Been up to his tricks again. I'll bet. I'll get you for this, my lad.
02:46But in his fury, he didn't notice Pansy Pig doing backwards somersaults.
02:50Oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink.
02:52And then, seeing Sammy Snail shoot past,

02:57Douglas Dog dancing.

03:02And on being challenged to fight by Ted Tortoise.
03:05Put him up, put him up.
03:07Farmer Jars was not quite sure what was happening.
03:10Henry's cat saw his opportunity and quickly dehypnotized all his friends saying,
03:15You are all normal. You are all normal. No one will remember anything.
03:21Grrr!
03:23And then he helped Farmer Jars up and sent him on his way.
03:27Henry's cat sighed with relief.
03:29Grrr!
03:32And was immediately flattened by Chris Rabbit who had been flying overhead.
03:36Wow! thought Henry's cat.
03:38A rabbit in the hand is worth two in the bush.
03:42And he considered himself lucky he hadn't convinced Myrtle the cow to fly.
