00:38Going, and Tipsy has been going strong on the Hot 100 for 10 weeks. We can't wait to hear more
00:44Shaboosie. The war and treaty have made a name for themselves in the country music world. They
00:48became the first Black duo to be nominated for the ACM Award for Duo of the Year last year.
01:01And were nominated as Best New Artist at this year's Grammys.
01:04Billboard honored them at this year's Country Power Players event as groundbreakers and
01:08the couple just released their latest single, Called You By Your Name, two weeks ago.
01:13Mickey Guyton became the first Black woman to be nominated for Best Country Solo Performance
01:17in 2020 at the Grammys for her song, Black Like Me. Guyton also became the first Black
01:28female artist to perform at the Academy of Country Music Awards and the first Black woman to co-host
01:33the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2021. She released her latest track, Make It Me,
01:38earlier this month. In 2021, Kane Brown became the first Black person to win Video of the Year
01:44at the ACM Awards with his music video for Worldwide Beautiful. The same year he became
01:54the first Black artist to be nominated for Album of the Year at the ACM Awards.
01:59The country star's latest song is another collaboration with DJ Marshmello.
02:03Beyonce not only highlighted up-and-coming Black country artist on Cowboy Carter,
02:14but she also paid homage to one of the first successful Black country artists, Linda Martel,
02:24who became the first Black female country artist to play the Grand Ole Opry.
02:28She was also recognized for being a groundbreaking Black country artist in 2021
02:33at the CMT Awards with the Equal Pay Award.
