00:31In the Rebel Red from Pine Hills Christian Academy,
00:34flying Ryan G-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-Gilbert!
00:39And in the prestigious purple from Waterbridge Elementary
00:42School, the Crusher B-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-Martin!
00:50Hello, everyone.
00:51I'm Mike O'Malley.
00:52Welcome to the Extreme Arena, home of Nickelodeon Guts,
00:55the action sports show where kids live out their greatest
00:58sports fantasies.
00:59Today's players will be competing
01:00in four spectacular events.
01:02And after that, they'll get a chance
01:03at tackling our radical rock, the aggro crag,
01:06where almost anything can happen.
01:08The player with the most points at the end of all of our events
01:10is the winner.
01:11And he or she will be able to take home a glowing piece
01:14of our awesome rock.
01:15Now remember, all of our events are specifically
01:17designed with our players' safety in mind.
01:19Our players will be wearing safety equipment,
01:21and we'll have a professional stunt coordinator
01:23and stunt spotters with them at all times.
01:25So please, don't try this at home.
01:28Now our next event, or our first event, I should say,
01:31is going to make you feel like Troy Aikman
01:33connecting on a couple of touchdown passes.
01:36We're going to give you a little height with our elastic cord.
01:39We're going to go to referee Moore Quirk for the rules.
01:41Mo.
01:41Mike, at the sound of my whistle,
01:43all three players will jump off the aerial bridge
01:45with a football in their hands.
01:46The object of the game is to get as many footballs
01:49through the tire as possible in 60 seconds.
01:52Players must bounce off the ground before they throw,
01:54and the player with the most balls through the tire
01:56at the end wins.
01:58Mike.
01:59All right, so as you can see, our players getting up
02:01on top of the elastic bridge.
02:02Some help from our stunt spotters up there,
02:04getting situated.
02:05There's a look at our camera through our tire,
02:08where our prestigious purple player, Chris,
02:10will be throwing.
02:11And it looks like they are ready to go.
02:13On your mark, get set...
02:15All right, and there's a look at all three of our players
02:17as they get the height.
02:18And it looks like in the middle, that's Brian,
02:21our red player, the Rebel Red,
02:23connecting.
02:24It is Chris and Mandy with another one.
02:26A good competition so far.
02:27It looks like all of our players have terrific form
02:31as they're releasing the football
02:33at the apex of their jump
02:35and just knocking it in.
02:37Take a look right there at Chris and Mandy,
02:40both, oh, look at the energy on Chris and Mandy's face,
02:43both connecting.
02:44It's a close one right here, folks.
02:46They have definitely got the poison looking.
02:49There's a shot at Chris.
02:50He's loading up that tire with plenty of footballs today, folks.
02:54Imagine Lawrence Taylor coming at you full steam
02:57and just saying, hey, sorry, Larry,
03:00I'm throwing this one over your head.
03:02And I'm going to connect with a little touchdown.
03:04We've got time running out.
03:05And it looks like every one of our players
03:08has been knocking plenty of footballs.
03:12Perfect form, nice arm on that one.
03:14There's another shot at Chris.
03:16And time has run out.
03:18So all of our players, as they get down off of the elastic bridge,
03:22we have an individual judge assigned for each player,
03:26counting up the footballs and giving the results to Mo.
03:29Let's go to Mo and get him.
03:30In first place was Chris in purple with 10 footballs.
03:34In second place, Brian in red with 8 footballs.
03:36In third place, Mandy in blue with 7 footballs.
03:39So a close competition, 10 to 8 to 7.
03:43As I said, all of our players doing very well.
03:45And look at the form right here as Chris goes low.
03:50And I didn't think we had much more room left in that net for any more footballs.
03:54He did an excellent job on that first event.
03:57And let's talk to him right here.
03:58How did it feel to be throwing the football that high up in the air?
04:01I thought I was flying.
04:03Now, was it hard to aim at all?
04:05Not really.
04:06Obviously not. He got 10 in there, and he took first place.
04:09Let's check out where we stand on the leaderboard right now.

04:12Mike, first place in our events is worth 300 points.
04:14That goes to Chris in purple.
04:15In second place with 200 points, Brian in red.
04:18In third place with 100 points, Mandy in blue.

04:24Our players showing their athletic prowess.
04:26And right now it's time for Spill Your Guts.
04:30Mandy, Mad Dog Flood, is a rabid competitor whose bark is as bad as her bite.
04:35When Mandy isn't mauling the competition, she's maintaining her place on the honor roll.
04:39Mandy, Gutsy Crews, good times.
04:45All right, and I believe Mandy's ready to bark her way up a cargo net in our next event.
04:50It's called Basic Training. It takes place in the other portion of our gym.
04:54Our obstacles change every day.
04:56Let's take a look at what we've got working here today.
04:58That's the cargo net.
04:59Then the tightrope walk.
05:00They've got to get on that platform and jump into this airbag, into the tire crawl,
05:04and then up this wall climb, down the tube slide, into the pool,
05:08where they'll say hi to Joe.
05:09Hi, Joe. Let's talk to Mo.
05:11Mike, our players will be timed from starting line to splashdown.
05:15They must complete each obstacle before moving on to the next one.
05:18Best time wins.
05:20On your mark, get set.
05:22All right, Mandy, Mad Dog is ready.
05:25She gets up the cargo net.
05:27And I told you she'd bark her way up there.
05:29She certainly did.
05:32Mandy with 100 points going into this event.
05:34She's in third place.
05:35She's a good finish.
05:36And into that airbag.
05:38A nice rollout as she is getting ready to go flying through that tire crawl
05:43and looking with grit and determination on her face as she makes it up the wall climb
05:49and then down into the tube slide.

07:17Oh my God, this man just made it down the wall climb.

07:23I don't think I've ever seen anybody get up that wall climb faster
07:27than the crusher just crushed that wall.

07:48oh, just fell off just a little bit on the tightrope walk.

07:57Brian, on that last event you had a little trouble on the tightrope walk,
08:01but right into the air bag, how did it feel to jump into that thing?
08:04Felt pretty good.
08:05I mean, going in that air bag, jumping down like that is pretty hard
08:08because you've got to get out there quick and it goes down real low,
08:11so pretty fun.
08:13All right, and over here, the crusher, we've got you right here.
08:15I've got one question.
08:16I've never seen anybody climb up that wall climb faster.
08:18Beautiful job on that.
08:19What did you think about that last event?
08:21Well, it was sort of hard.

08:58Our audience getting ready for our next event, but right now it's time for Spill Your Guts.
09:04Flying Brian Gilbert is an 11-year-old baseball MVP.
09:08If you can't find Brian on a baseball field, he's probably flying downhill on his bike
09:12or floating across the water on his water skis.
09:14The Brian Guts sequels, Daring.
09:18All right, well, it's time for Flying Brian to get into the water
09:23because our next event, Whitewater, we're going to turn our guts pool right here
09:27into a raging river with rapids flying right through it.
09:31Our players are going to have to maneuver their rafts right through that water
09:34and get to the other side.
09:35Let's talk to Mo about the rules. Mo.
09:37Well, Mike, each of our players will maneuver their boat around the buoys
09:40and high-five the spotter at the end of the pool.
09:43Fastest time wins.
09:46On your mark, get set.
09:48We've got to fire up those jets first.
09:50All right.
09:51And on your mark, get set.
09:54All right.
09:56And Mandy making her way around that first buoy.
10:01And look as the rapids are pushing her raft from side to side.
10:07But she's got good poise in this and good balance as she makes her way around the second buoy,
10:12having a little bit of trouble.
10:14And those buoys are attached to the bottom of our pool,
10:18so you can't knock them out of the way.
10:21She's having some trouble in the corner, but continuing to fight her way through.
10:25Mandy at 32 seconds right now.
10:28She's coming in. She needs to high-five it.
10:30Oh, stretching out of the pool.
10:32She's in the water, but she's got to come in for the high-five.
10:34And there she has it.

12:11He wasn't letting those rapids slow him down.
12:13Making excellent time at this portion of the event, folks.

12:19He's coming in.

12:24Dig, and he's out of it.
12:25He's going to have to stretch it with the stretch.
12:28Having a little bit of trouble there at the end,
12:30but with the powerful stretch, got the judge.

12:55And then stretching, holding on to the side of the pool as he stretches

13:04Let me ask you guys, how was it maneuvering your boat with those rapids?

13:11It was hard.
13:12I mean, because the rapids coming out the side,
13:14and you're trying to steer one way and they're pushing you the other.
13:16So it's pretty hard.
13:17Now, Chris, you had some trouble in the corner.
13:20What happened over there?
13:21My pilot got caught in the side, and I just couldn't move.
13:25You couldn't move, but you stretched out of that raft
13:27and hit the high five for the first place position.
13:30Let's go to Moa and check out the leaderboard.

19:22That's a look at where they stand.
19:24Now let's take a look at how they got there and take a look as Chris,
19:29the crusher, shows his powerful leg ability and his great aim.
19:37Let's get to that and watch Brian right there as he slipped off the tightrope walk
19:43but came back for first place finish in that.
19:45Then here we have Mandy as she knocked down that one,
19:48but she had a nice finish on that.
19:50Then the crusher flying right over that one
19:52and taking first place in that event.
19:54Right now, ladies and gentlemen, this event, the aggro crag event,
19:58our final event, our ultimate challenge,
20:01the challenge that will have a lot of surprises for our players here today.
20:05Falling rocks, snowstorms, slime floods, water, smoke,
20:09a whole lot of obstacles, actuators to hit.
20:12Big challenge. Let's go to Mo and find out the rules.
20:15Players will start at the sound of my whistle.
20:18Each player has an identical side of the mountain to climb
20:20and may not cross into another player's path.
20:23During their climb, our players must light up each of eight targets
20:26located on their side of the crag.
20:28The first player to activate all of the targets,
20:30including the final one at the peak of the mountain,
20:32will receive first place points. Mike?
20:35As our players get ready in that mountain, smoking with activity,
20:40let me remind you that the points have skyrocketed in this final event,
20:43third place being worth 375 points, second 550,
20:47and first place a whopping 725 points.
20:51So this game is far from over.
20:53The mountain will decide it once again.
20:55And let's go to Mo for the start.
20:57Players, on your mark, get set.
21:00Alright, and they are off.
21:02As you see Mandy getting up on top, en route to her first actuator.
21:06That's Chris the Crusher. He is in the lead right now.
21:09He's trying, getting his first actuator too.
21:11There's a look at Mandy and there's the Crusher
21:13trying to make his way through that smoke.
21:15And it is very difficult to find your way through all of that smoke and the smoke.
21:21Remember folks, they must hit all eight actuators.
21:25And it looks like the Crusher has missed one.
21:27He's going to have to go back down.
21:29He's in first place. It looks like Mandy could win.
21:31She's on the left. Who's going to make it first?

22:25Brian, as you can see him slipping right there as he was getting back up.
