00:57Hello, everyone, I'm Michael O'Malley.
00:59Welcome to the Extreme Arena, home of Nickelodeon Guts,
01:02the action sports show where kids live out their greatest sports fantasies.
01:06Today's players, once again, battling their way through four outrageous events,
01:10and after that, they'll get a chance at tackling our radical rock, the aggro crag,
01:14where almost anything can happen.
01:16The player with the most points at the end of all of our events is the winner,
01:19and he or she will be able to take home a glowing piece of our radical rock.
01:23Now, remember, all of our events are specifically designed with our players' safety in mind.
01:26They will be wearing safety equipment, and we'll have a professional stunt coordinator
01:29and stunt spotters with them at all times, so please, don't try this at home.
01:33Now, on to our first event, everyone who plays hoops dreams of slam dunking a basketball.
01:37Well, in our next event, slam dunk, elastic sports fantasy about to come true.
01:41Let's go to our referee, Maura Quirk, for the rules.
01:43Thank you, Mike.
01:44At the sound of my whistle, all three players will grab a basketball,
01:47jump off the bridge, bounce up, and shoot.
01:50They'll have 60 seconds to score as many baskets as possible.
01:53All three players will compete at the same time,
01:55and baskets will only count if they are shot after the player has touched the ground.
01:59Our players are getting into place right now.
02:02Grab a basketball.
02:04And the games are about to begin.
02:07On your mark, get set...
02:09All right, and they are off, ready to start shooting.
02:12Now, remember, they must hit the ground before they go up and take a shot right there.
02:17Kelly on that one did not hit the ground.
02:19It looks like Jose's having some trouble right there.
02:21You need to really attack these baskets and be aggressive with your jump onto the ground.
02:26Right there, as Christina the firecracker, Farrell, goes up.
02:30Jose definitely having some trouble.
02:32And Kelly just goes smacking back into there.
02:35And you see Christina.
02:36Now, there's Kelly right back in there.
02:38She's got the momentum on that one right there, folks.
02:40Christina with the basketball stuck behind the hoop,
02:42but that doesn't deter her from continuing to shoot.
02:47Imagine going up against Patrick Ewing of the New York Knicks.
02:50He's ready to block a shot.
02:52And you go right up and over and say,
02:53Hey, sorry, Patrick. I'm shooting this one over your head, pal.

03:13So right now, our judges tabulating the scores.

03:29She had some trouble on her first shot when she didn't hit the ground,

04:31she likes to go horseback riding with her friends.

04:41And they are going to be long jumping into this sand pit right here.

09:55All right, the Extreme Arena getting ready for our next event,
09:57but right now it's time for Jose to spill his guts.
09:59So, Jose, spill your guts.
10:02Jose Bebo.
10:06He's a 12-year-old basketball star.
10:08Bebo also shreds half pipes with his skateboard.
10:11Jose relaxes by paddling downstream in a canoe.
10:14And that is Jose.
10:15And we'll see if he can paddle his way in our next event,
10:18which is called Totally Tubular.
10:20It takes place right here in our Guts pool.
10:23And our players will have to make themselves do some fancy swimming work in these tubes here.
10:29Let's go to Mo and check out the rules.

10:32all three players will race across the pool collecting tubes around their bodies.
10:35They must touch the end of the pool before coming back and also to end the race.
10:40Time penalties will be added for any violations,

10:48All right, so Kelly, after winning our first two events,
10:50she is in first place with 600 points.
10:53Christina needs a good finish in this one because she is in third place with 200 points right now.
10:58And it looks like right now Jose is in the lead.

11:04And right here, he makes the turn.
11:06Now, remember, they must swim back and keep all the tubes.

12:09Now let's talk to Christina first.
12:10Christina, you came into this event in third place with 200 points.
12:13You needed a good finish.
12:14You came up with 200 points in second place in this event.
12:17What did you think about this event?
12:19Well, I'm a very good swimmer, and I just thought that I would come in first or second place.
12:27And you did an excellent job.
12:28I saw you putting on a kick there at the end of that race, kicking with your legs.
12:32I mean, did you find that your legs were helping you more than your arms on that point?
12:35Yes.
12:36Okay.
12:37And let's go over here to Kelly.
12:38Was it difficult keeping those tubes around you?
12:40It sure was.
12:41It was hard because they were, I mean, all over your body, and it was hard to kick and everything.
12:46Well, Kelly has a perfect score so far.
12:48Let's go to the leaderboard and check out where all of our players stand.

13:08Kelly, the Maniac Marchouc is 13 years old.
13:11The Maniac is manic about her favorite sport.
13:13She's happiest when she's rappelling down a rock or tumbling across a mat.
13:17And that is Kelly.
13:18Well, Kelly may be manic about our next event, which takes place on our extreme arena floor.
13:23It's called Jump Jump.
13:24And once again, our players will be strapping on that elastic cord as we simulate in this event,
13:30Olympic hurdling events in our guts way.
13:34Let's go to Mo and check out the rules.
13:35Mo.
13:36Mike, our players will jump off the aerial bridge and over two hurdles.
13:39They must climb to the top of the opposite bridge and touch the railing before coming back and also to end the event.
13:45Time penalties will be added for any hurdles that are knocked down.
13:48And best time wins.
13:50Players, on your mark, get set.
13:53All right.
13:54So, Christina, she goes into this event in fourth place with 400 points.
13:59She's going to need to set the pace right here and set it with a good time.
14:02And she's up at about nine seconds as she gets to the other part of the aerial bridge.
14:05Touching that portion and getting a nice jump as she continues her way.
14:08We're looking like she needs to not have some trouble right here.
14:11Oh, and just misses the...
14:12So she returns back.
14:13She's going to need a stronger push-off as she begins to pull herself up the aerial bridge.
14:18It takes a lot of strength right here, folks.
14:21This is a portion where the elastic cord can work against you.

19:56A whole lot of stuff can happen.

19:59Players will start at the sound of my whistle.
20:01Each player has an identical side of the mountain to climb
20:04and may not cross into another player's path.
20:07During their climb, our players must light up each of seven targets
20:10located on their side of the crag.
20:13The first player to set off all the targets, including the final one,
20:16at the peak of the mountain, will receive first place points.
20:19All right.
20:20Let me remind you as our players get their game faces on
20:22that the points have skyrocketed in this event.
20:25First place being worth 725 points.
20:28Second, 550.
20:29And third, 375 points.
20:31So first place with that whopping 725 points.
20:35Big score on this one.
20:36Let's kick it off, Mo.

20:41Now there goes Jose up the mountain.
20:43Remember, Kelly has a perfect score in this event.
20:47And she continues to climb up the mountain.

20:57Between Jose and Kelly, they must count.

21:48And she continues her climb up the aggro crag event.
21:52And right here, you can see Jose is in the lead as he climbs up.
21:56But he cannot get his foot, and he slips right there.

22:05She doesn't even know where to punch.

22:09And she came in with a first-place finish.
