MEREDITH Hutson was very confident at her heaviest weight and felt beautiful in her own skin - the reason she began her journey was due to health issues. The now 28-year-old of Texas would experience numbness in her hands and feet as soon as she woke up and had a thyroid condition. Meredith said: “I just knew that I just couldn't continue living that way no matter how confident I was in my own skin.” She began exercising and completely changed her eating habits and over the course of two years, lost 120lbs. She said losing weight helped with all her medical issues and she no longer has the thyroid condition. Meredith said her husband, Steven, helped her on her journey by teaching her how to cook and a year into her journey, he felt inspired to start his own. Meredith joked: “He saw me getting these gains and wanted a piece of that.” She completely changed her life and physique through exercise and gained confidence in the gym. She said: “I went from being scared and terrified to do these workouts, to falling in love with the process.” Meredith started sharing her journey after she had lost 40lbs. She said: “The feedback really just fueled me and pushed me even more. And then of course I lost 120lbs and I still can't believe that today.” In January 2022, Meredith launched a fitness programme and became a coach. She successfully grew her client base and now works with people all over the world. Today she will be putting two of her clients through their paces in the gym.

00:00My confidence at my heaviest was honestly up there.
00:04My main reason for losing weight is my health issues that I had.
00:08I weighed 256 pounds at my heaviest and lost 120 pounds naturally.
00:14I went from being scared and terrified to do these workouts
00:19to falling in love with the process.
00:22I think everything changes when you step out of your box.
00:26I became a coach because I just knew that this changed my life.
00:32I knew I needed to help other people do the same.
00:35How's that feel?
00:37Hurts.
00:38Oh my gosh.
00:40It's so pretty.
00:44Every time I look at my wedding dress, I think, dang, I used to have some boobs.
00:49I was very confident at my heaviest.
00:54Stephen's League.
00:56I felt just so beautiful in my skin and every room I walked into, I was owning it at all times.
01:05My engagement and my wedding played a role definitely in my journey.
01:10Was it the biggest role?
01:12No, but it was still an important factor, I guess, in it.
01:18It didn't end up paying off because I lost about 50 pounds before my wedding day.
01:22The health issues that I had definitely played the biggest role
01:25into why I made the decision to start my journey.
01:28I just knew that I just couldn't continue living that way
01:31no matter how confident I was in my own skin.
01:34Dang, those pads are huge.
01:38My physical health when I was at my heaviest was definitely very bad.
01:42There were so many tests I had done because I had so many health issues.
01:45I used to wake up with my hands and feet completely numb,
01:48not being able to move or get out of bed for the first 30 minutes of waking up for years.
01:54I had a thyroid condition. I had to go to the doctor every two weeks.
01:58When I first met Stephen, that is when I saw the big shift in how I felt about myself.
02:04I finally met someone that really understood me and accepted me
02:09at my heaviest, at this place in my life where I felt lost.
02:13Getting my Berry Bowl ready.
02:17The first time he saw me, he claims in middle school that I had chili
02:24on the side of my lip because I was grilling ham on a chili dog.
02:27Chili and bread.
02:28I think he's lying.
02:30My husband, when I started my fitness journey, definitely was the biggest help
02:34because I knew nothing about cooking.
02:37He was just so good at it.
02:39Because I knew nothing about cooking.
02:42He would spend that time with me showing me how to cook chicken,
02:46showing me how to boil an egg.
02:47Ooh, she had a goji berry on there.
02:50What I used to eat before I started my journey, definitely a big binge eater for sure.
02:56I did not eat anything home-cooked.
02:58My diet and nutrition changed drastically.
03:03My husband started his journey a year after I started mine.
03:07He saw me getting these gains and wanted a piece of that.
03:15You know I'm right.
03:16Yeah, Meredith did inspire me to start my health journey.
03:19But not only to get healthier, but kind of take that initiative elsewhere in my life.
03:26Go back to school, learn new things.
03:29Ooh, I was like drizzling some honey on here.
03:32I'm extremely proud of Meredith.
03:34And the reason why is because she set a goal.
03:38Not only did she complete the goal, but she conquered that goal
03:42and completely changed her life and is now changing other people's lives.
03:49I lost 120 pounds through diet and exercise.
03:53Obviously, I'm very confident and proud of where I'm at.
03:57I will say, Meredith before her journey did not focus so much on her figure.
04:04But I think that there's pros and cons to it all.
04:08But I'm very, very happy with where I'm at.
04:11Losing weight helped me with all of my health issues that I had.
04:15I had a thyroid condition.
04:16I got rid of that without medication.
04:18I think that this journey in itself has always taught me to want to push harder
04:24and to never want to stay comfortable with where I'm at.
04:30The first time I went to the gym, I walked up.
04:32I remember being really shaky and scared.
04:35I went from being scared and terrified to do these workouts
04:40to falling in love with the process.
04:49This was actually my first exercise that I think I ever did.
04:54But just the difference I see now from the very beginning to today is just insane.
05:02I think everything changes when you step out of your box.
05:07I now weigh 155.
05:10I did a bulk recently because I got too small.
05:13So I actually built five because I do want to have more of an athletic figure.
05:18But at my lowest, I weighed 136 pounds.
05:22I became a coach in January of 2022.
05:26And I became a coach because I just knew that this changed my life.
05:31I knew I needed to help other people do the same.
05:34I'm going to bring this over because a few of my sons are meeting me.
05:38I have been training Haley for about three months
05:41and my really good friend Lexi for about eight months.
05:45And they both are ready to shed body fat, get strong,
05:49but more importantly, feel really confident and feel that power.
06:08So remember, engage your core.
06:11I do not want you to be flaring out your ribs when going down.
06:15And focus on breathing and holding tension at the top.
06:19Good job.
06:20Oh, I saw some depth on that one.
06:22It should feel really good in those glutes.
06:26And you should not be feeling at all in your back.
06:29When Meredith's coaching, she is very motivating.
06:33She's your personal hype man.
06:34Y'all look good.
06:36And she pushes you to your limits.
06:38Make sure your butt is not lifting up off of the bench.
06:42Your mind is so much stronger than your body.
06:45I said to myself that very thing on repeat throughout my whole journey.
06:50So now every time you're struggling, my mind is stronger.
06:53That's what I want you to think of, okay?
06:57Since joining, I am actually on my month two of this fitness journey.
07:01I am able to keep up with my kids more.
07:04I have more energy throughout the day.
07:06Meredith has made such a huge difference in my life.
07:09There ain't no good enough if we can't up by her.
07:13She's always there to support you when you need it the most,
07:16whether that's with your fitness journey or your personal life.
07:20She's always going to be there for you.
07:21Haley and Lexi did so good today.
07:24I'm so proud of them.
07:27I am very proud of myself, I would say.
07:31My former self looking back now, I think,
07:35can only think of like everything we went through.
07:38It was for a purpose.
07:40It was for a reason.
07:41My goals for the future is to continue to grow my program,
07:45to continue to get the word out of, you know, how to really view this journey,
07:50how to really go about your journey,
07:52and continue to inspire as many people as I possibly can
07:56through my journey and through my story.
08:08you
