Dispelling rumors about "boot-gate" & Dak Prescott's ankle
Last week we saw pictures of Cowboys QB Dak Prescott in a walking boot on the ankle he broke back in 2020, leading to fan concerns about his health. Shan & RJ get to the bottom of this story and why the Cowboys themselves aren't worried about the soreness Dak is feeling in his ankle.

00:23broke or twitter broke that Dak Prescott was walking around in a boot on the docks of Mexico
00:32and this is something that Sean and I had talked about on Friday and recapped a little

00:41contest right we didn't do that I put it in my prep yeah he didn't he didn't put it in
00:46there and so I was like it's pretty disgusting anyway yeah I know but like I mean I wanted
00:50to I wanted to talk about it I was basically like you know a winning a random ass PGA event
00:56while all the golfers in live or banned from participating like who cares that you won
01:00that yeah but no Dak Prescott the the issue here is that he's walking around in a boot
01:05in Mexico and then all these reports come out that say he's he's still in the boot no
01:11he's not he's out of the boot it's a foot spray no it's an ankle spray no it's just
01:15his ankle sore no it's not even any soreness this is a precaution he always takes when
01:18he goes on the boat I know Eric you and Brian got into it a little bit on Friday I believe
01:24going back and forth in terms of how serious initially there should be ultimately Sean
01:28and I came down on the idea that I'm not worried about it I'm about a two on the one to ten
01:34scale of worry but I'm not but also at the same time I'm not blaming anybody who wants
01:39to be concerned about it because it's that same ankle there have been times in the past
01:44where injuries have turned out to be worse than we were told they were they were initially
01:49like they told us they didn't care at all about the lat muscle or whatever it was that
01:53Dak had hurt while he was in training camp a couple years ago yeah and then we watch
01:59hard knocks come out in the middle of the year or whatever it was and we see oh no they
02:04were much more concerned with that than they had talked about publicly yes and so I totally
02:09get that so to me it's I'm not going to tell anybody they shouldn't be worried about I'm
02:14saying I'm not but if you want to be and you don't believe it totally fine I'm just saying
02:18universally everything I'm hearing everything other people are hearing the details are a
02:23little foggy and we're not getting consistency on those parts but the consistent message
02:27everyone's getting from everybody they talk to is he's fine
