Blind artist Kataraina Koroheke of Evandale makes stunning paintings of Tasmania

00:00I'm Katarana Korohiki and I'm a professional landscape artist here in Tasmania.

00:09I was born in New Zealand but raised here in Tasmania.

00:13I am a very passionate artist and I've made art my career.

00:20I love going on country drives and sort of wherever we go I like to draw inspiration

00:28from and we're very blessed here in Tasmania because there's so many beautiful places to

00:33go to and I always want to catch her anywhere I go because I have such a good time and I

00:41would like to share that with everybody else.

00:47I have a visual impairment called advanced keratoconus and I've had this since I was

00:55so I sort of struggle with that and doing my artwork, however, art is my passion and

01:04it won't stop me from what I love doing most which is art.
