There will be a lot of cloud cover around over the next few days with a threat of showers. Feeling cool too with temperatures below average but will conditions improve over the weekend?

00:00Hello there. On Thursday, a weak occluded front will bring showery outbreaks of rain
00:05across northern and central England and Wales, which will be heavy across parts of north
00:09Wales during the evening. The best of the sunshine will be across southern England and
00:14here it will actually be a fairly mild and pleasant day, with highs climbing to 23 degrees.
00:20On Thursday night, that showery rain will clear southwards, dragging with it cooler
00:23air across the whole of the country, which will bring a fairly chilly start to the day
00:27on Friday. There will be large areas of cloud cover around though too, and a threat of showers,
00:32which will be mostly across eastern areas, where it will also be breezier. A chilly day
00:37for all, with temperatures below the average for the time of year.
00:40Looking ahead into the weekend, an area of low pressure will become located to the east
00:44of the UK, which will throw a fair bit of cloud and showers our way. The best of the
00:48sunshine looks set to be across southern and western areas on Sunday, and temperature wise
00:54it will be a little bit chilly on Saturday with temperatures below the average for the
00:57time of year, but on Sunday it will feel a little bit milder, especially in the sunshine.
