00:00Hi there, welcome to your weekend weather update and high pressure sticks around but
00:05it's looking predominantly cloudy so sunshine will be limited. So let's take a look at Saturday
00:09first of all, a gloomy start to the day with areas of mist and fog across England, Wales
00:13and Northern Ireland as well as patchy light rain and drizzle around central and eastern
00:17parts of the UK and more persistent rain across the northwest of Scotland. Now that rain across
00:22the northwest of Scotland will spread up towards Shetland through the afternoon. Elsewhere
00:26patchy light rain and drizzle will continue around central and eastern areas. Otherwise
00:29largely dry bar the odd shower or two but also predominantly cloudy skies with a wind
00:34starting to develop across parts of the southwest and northern Scotland will be rather windy
00:38but light winds elsewhere and temperatures around average or slightly above across southern
00:42areas of the UK. Into Sunday yet again another grey start to the day with mist and fog slow
00:48to lift and clear. This time I think we'll see some sunny spells develop though across
00:52the northeast of Scotland, the Midlands and down towards the southeast of England but
00:55elsewhere generally cloudy skies with some drizzle still likely particularly around eastern
01:00areas and still fairly brisk winds across the southwest and northern parts of Scotland
01:04as well.
