00:00Before the race, because I just finished my 50k, I was a bit focused on myself because I was tired from the 50k, but my coach helped me recover.
00:17And then before the swim, I was just thinking about the training that I was going to do for 11 weeks to get here.
00:27And then my last individual event, I already got my passport for my last individual event.
00:37So, I talked to my coach.
00:41How many minutes did you rest?
00:45Around 10 minutes.
00:49Because in my 50 freestyle, my secondary event was 200 freestyle.
00:57So, I only did 3 hits in my secondary event of 200 freestyle.
01:01So, I was able to recover quickly.
01:06Last year, you only got 4 golds, right?
01:10I only got 1 gold.
01:13I only got 50 butterfly.
01:15So, what's the difference between you and your coach? Is your coach's training better?
01:21Before the race, my coach used to be from Beda.
01:29So, he was my coach before, and he's my coach now.
01:33I've been in Beda for a year now.
01:36So, I was able to adapt to Beda's training program better.
01:43So, I was able to adapt better.
01:47Within the one year, there was a big time difference that I lost to Moses.
01:54You're going back to Palaro next year, right?
01:57Yes.
01:58What's your goal there?
02:00My goal next year in Palaro is to defend my 5 individual events.
02:08I hope I can defend them next year.
02:10My goal next year in Palaro is to get all the records in my individual events.
02:23I only got 2 butterfly records.
02:28I didn't get 3 freestyle records.
02:34If I could get my 2 best times in my 2 zooms, I hope I could get a record.
02:41But, I came out short.
02:44So, I'll work harder to get them next year.
02:48How do you celebrate 7x7?
02:51I celebrate 7x7 especially with God.
02:54Because, God is the one who guided me mentally because I'm far from my family.
03:02I'm dedicated to myself.
03:14If not for my hard work, I wouldn't be where I am now.
03:22I'm dedicated to my coaches because they're the ones who are close to me.
03:27I'm far from my family.
03:29They're the ones who are inside and outside of me.
03:32I'm thankful to them because there are times when I don't want to do it anymore.
03:42But, my coaches are always there to help me.
03:47To my family, to my parents, to my grandmas and grandpas.
03:54To my family, to all my friends who are there for me in every competition.
04:03Especially, to the veteran community.
04:06To our team, the San Diego Swim Team.
