00:08Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has promised to meet Theo Beng Hock's family
00:13after an incident outside Parliament today.
00:16Following a 96-kilometre walk for justice,
00:19members of the Theo Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement
00:23arrived at Parliament today to hand over a memorandum to MPs,
00:27but were stopped by police.
00:29Video on social media showed that a scuffle ensued
00:32during which Beng Hock's sister, Leelan,
00:34fell to the ground and was apparently hurt.
00:37In a post on X, Anwar said he was aware of the incident
00:40that occurred outside Parliament involving Beng Hock's family.
00:44He gave his assurance that he will meet them soon
00:47and review their memorandum.
00:49In the memorandum, the group called for a thorough
00:51and transparent investigation into Beng Hock's death
00:54as well as amendments to be made to Section 30
00:57of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act
00:59to limit interrogation time.
