As we count down to our trip to Oxnard, Shan & RJ have been going over each position group on the Cowboys. Today they look at the wide receivers, where there are major question marks behind CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks.

00:00The guys there, but when you look behind that, Kavante turpentine under a million dollars,
00:20Jalen Brooks, Ryan Flournoy, their fifth or their sixth round pick from this past year.
00:24So they haven't invested a ton financially yet. They haven't shown that they're willing
00:28to commit the resources in terms of salary, which is something they've shown pretty consistently.
00:35I feel like over the last 20 years in Jerry's era, we we've seen that they are willing to
00:40use draft capital either as a selection or as trade capital to get a receiver.
00:45They did it with Roy Williams, Joey Galloway, and Amari Cooper. They drafted CD Lamb, Des
00:51Bryant, like they'll take guys higher and also use those picks in order to go get receivers.
00:56But then when you look at it, they had a hard time paying Amari Cooper. Um, you know,
01:01they walked away from Des pretty quick. Uh, they never wanted to commit longterm to Cole
01:05Beasley. It was something that frustrated him. CD Lamb is still trying to get paid.
01:09That one has felt like the entire time should be the easiest contract for them to get done
01:13because of the parameters that have been set by the rest of the league and how good that
01:17he's been. But if we enter training camp with CD Lamb sitting out, is this, do you guys
01:24think going to be similar to the Zach Martin situation last year where all I have to do
01:28is not show up and you're going to see over the course of four or five days, you're not
01:33going to be able to cut it if I'm not physically here.
01:35Do you think that that's why Zach got done? Cause they're evaluating the offensive line
01:39in the first four days. I think that they may have been willing to stand off a little
01:46bit longer and have that face off with him a little bit and play that game of chicken.
01:51If, if they felt more comfortable with what they were.
