"I'm a 25-year-old cruise enthusiast - I've been on 47 around the world"

Meet the 25-year-old cruise enthusiast who has been on 47 cruises around the world.

Leslie Diaz, 25, went on her first cruise with her parents, Ariel Rodriguez, 53, and Lourdes Diaz, 54, when she was four years old.

Since then, Leslie fell in love with cruising because she feels it is an easier way to travel.

Leslie's love of cruising has taken her onboard some of the world's largest cruise ships - including Icon of the Seas.

Currently, Leslie is on her 47th cruise onboard the brand new Utopia of the Seas which set sail from Cape Canaveral, Florida on July 15, 2025.

Each cruise costs Leslie on average around $1k to $1.5k for a week onboard.

Leslie, a restaurant and travel content creator, from Miami, Florida, said: "I love traditional travel.

"I love going anywhere in the world but for me a cruise feels like a real vacation.

"With a traditional travel you have annoying parts like the airport, luggage and finding a hotel.

"But with cruises you go to port and you're on the vacation. They handle the luggage and bring everything to your room.

"If you want to feel super relaxed the cruise is the best location for that."

On average, Leslie will go on on two to three cruises a year and is currently on the world's newest cruise - Utopia of the Seas.

Leslie said: "It set sail for the first time on Monday. I am going to be on here for three nights.

"It is huge. I believe it is the second largest cruise in the world right now.

"There is a water park, over 30/40 bars and restaurants, zip lining, surfing, a floating bar, mini golf, infinity jacuzzi, and an acrobatic water show.

"The god mother of the cruise is Meghan Trainor - she is on the cruise right now."

Leslie said that Utopia of the Seas is similar to the Icon cruise class.

She said: "This one is pretty up there. I love that there is a mix of Icon of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas.

"They are my favourite cruises and I love that this one has the best of those.

"It has an infinity jacuzzi, and a Central Park to replicate the one in New York.

"It has some really big and bold elements."

Leslie said her favourite cruise is the Icon of the Seas, the largest cruise in the world which set sail in January 2024.

She said: "It is not just the largest cruise, but it has lots of amenities.

"It has a water park, restaurants, entertainment, bars and pools - it is really cool.

"I went twice - the first time I went for three nights and the second time I took my parents for my mum's birthday.

"They loved it - they never get tired of cruising. They are from Cuba and moved to the US in their 20s and all they ever wanted to do was travel.

"That is how they got into cruising, it is a great wat to travel as you get to visit lots of different places in a short amount of time."
