00:00Round 13 in the Central Highlands Football League and this edition of Friday Footy Frenzy is brought to you by Sheds and Shades by Design.
00:08I'm David Brio and hopefully bringing you some wise words, although it's not always the case, is it?
00:13Some big games again are going to impact on the top eight.
00:17It's a story we're repeating week after week, but nothing is changing in that sense.
00:23And there's going to be lots of changes in the makeup, if you like, of the top eight again this week.
00:30We've still got nine teams in the running and in ninth position, keen to put that pressure on the teams above them.
00:37Even jump into the top eight is Bunningong and they've got a big home game against Dalesford.
00:43Dalesford sits second, but remarkably, if they lose this one, they can drop to fifth.
00:48That's how tight it is. And even if they win the Bulldogs, and I expect them to, they could actually lose a position on percentage to Gordon.
00:57So we're looking for a lot of movement this weekend in the top eight and maybe even outside with Bunningong getting that opportunity.
01:06Now, before we leave that game, the Bombers, one of their greats, former coach, former captain,
01:14Jared Morgan celebrates his 300th senior game this weekend, and we wish him well on reaching that milestone.
01:22Another big game, Newland at home against Springbank, the Cats desperate to end a losing streak.
01:28Springbank, they're a long way off the finals these days.
01:31There's going to be no third grand final for them, unfortunately, but they can cause an upset here.
01:37And I think they will. The Tigers to get home against the Cats are really struggling at the moment.
01:43And the other big one is Hepburn at home to Dunstown, both these sides in the middle of the top eight, win here for either,
01:50and they can make a move forward, lose, and they're right back on the cusp.
01:54So a very big game. I think the Boroughs, with the likes of Andy McKay and Jack Blackburn back,
01:59they will just get home against an in-form Dunstown with six wins in a row.
02:04Quickly, the rest of the draw, Walra at home to topside Bungaree. The Demons, of course, will win that.
02:11Skipton at home to Creswick, the Emus, they win again, consolidate their place at the top end of the ladder.
02:17Clunes at home to Cardamom Linton, the Saints in a tight one, I think, in wet conditions at Clunes.
02:23Beaufort, the bottom side up against the reigning Premier Gordon, there's only one way this game will go, and that's the Eagles.
02:29And Belan at home to Roquod. Belan have been tough to beat at home this year.
02:33A win for the Blues is not out of the question, but I expect the Grasshoppers to get it.
02:37So that's Round 13, Central Islands football, full of action, full of the unknown,
02:43and we'll keep you up to date with everything that comes out of the Round over the days to come.
