00:00It is unreasonable to demand for the dissolution of Georgetown World Heritage Incorporated.
00:08This is what Penang Chief Minister Chow Koon Yew said after the company received flag for
00:13the perceived lack of Malay elements in its promotional video for the Georgetown Festival

00:19Chow said the company was once crowned the best UNESCO site manager and must continue
00:25to exist to ensure that Georgetown remains a heritage site.
00:30He also said a total of 81 Malay performers will showcase their talent in nine separate
00:35events during the festival.
00:39Last week, Perikatan Nasional Sebrang Jaya Assemblyman Ishar Shah Arif Shah said the
00:44company should be disbanded for marginalising Malay culture and heritage in its promotional
00:49video.
00:50The company has since apologised and took down the video.
00:54However, Ishar Shah said those actions were insufficient.
