00:00In 2000, an American scientist who works for the military ordered his Korean assistant to throw about 200 barrels of poisonous chemicals into the sewers, also ignoring what it could mean for the local river.
00:11As the years go by, people notice strange things in the river. Two fishermen catch a fish in a net and notice that it does not look right, almost as if the creature mutated.
00:19When one of the men tries to touch it, the creature reacts and forces him to let go of the net to swim away quickly.
00:25In 2006, on a bridge, a businessman thinks about suicide and notices something dark and big moving under the water before it jumps.
00:33One afternoon, next to the river, Gang-du falls asleep inside his father's stand with crickets. A homeless man named Se-yo tries to steal food, but his brother Se-yin pulls him away.
00:43The owner of the stand, Hie Bong, wakes up his son and reminds him to start working. At that moment, Gang-du sees his daughter, Hyun-seo, returning from school.
00:51Hyun-seo is angry because Gang-du sent his drunk father to a parent-teacher meeting instead of going alone.
00:57She ignored her father's calls because he has a very old phone with a bad signal, and it's a shame to show it to the public.
01:03Then Gang-du and Hyun-seo enter the stand, where he has a hidden corner with money that he saves to buy his daughter a new phone.
01:10They turn on the TV and find out on the news that a corpse has been found in the Han River, but they change channels to watch Gang-du's sister on Myeok as they compete in shooting.
01:19Hie Bong interrupts them, sending Gang-du with free crickets for some customers who are complaining.
01:24Gang-du finds them digging into a strange thing hanging under the bridge. That thing starts to move and discovers that it's a water-jumping monster.
01:32Happy, Gang-du throws a bottle of beer, and the monster grabs it with its beak and eats it.
01:37The excited gomila starts throwing all kinds of food into the river, but the creature disappears.
01:41The others are already getting ready to leave when the monster suddenly appears on the surface and starts chasing the gomila, throwing them around and killing them with its terrible blows.
01:50The gomila immediately runs away, but that doesn't stop the monster from dragging them on the ground.
01:54Some people run to hide in a container, so the monster follows them inside and heads for Sam.
01:59The tourist, Donald and Gang-du, run to the other end of the container, opening the door so that a few survivors could escape.
02:05The monster also comes out and continues its killing spree, so Donald throws the bottom plate, but that doesn't hurt the creature.
02:11Then Donald and Gang-du raise a heavy sign and throw it as well, but that doesn't hurt the creature either.
02:16With the person hanging from its jaws, the monster jumps on Donald and starts hurting him while Gang-du runs away.

03:31Nam-il discovers that he heard for Gang-du, who grabbed the wrong hand and hurts his brother because of such a mistake, which causes him to have to stop the government.
03:39At that moment, a gomila of people comes to the protective units, while the mysterious smoke begins to fill the space.
03:44The agent says that the buses are waiting for everything and asks if anyone touched the creation, so Gang-du mentions that he got blood on his face.
03:50This causes the team in the protective units to put Gang-du in a special bag and pull him out.
03:55Then the news finally covers the incident.
03:57Donald was an agent of the U.S. military and lost his hand, so he was sent to the hospital of the U.S. military.
04:02Military doctors discovered that parts of the body that were in contact with the creature had a strange reaction and blamed the unknown virus for it.
04:09The U.S. military sent a sample to the Centers for Disease Control or CDC, and they confirmed that the creature was a domestic virus from the river.

05:33The nurse recognizes Gang-du's dyed hair and calls him, so the relative starts running and pushing people off the road.
05:40In the elevator, he puts on his clothes and Hie-bong confirms their transportation over the phone.
05:44He comes to the parking lot and a mysterious driver picks them up in a van.
05:47He's not fast enough and almost leaves her behind, but the driver turns to find her while avoiding the people who are chasing them.
05:53The policeman also tries to enter, and Gang-du pushes him.
05:56At the end of the group, they reach the warehouse outside the city, where it turns out that Hie-bong hired some criminals to take them out of the hospital and get them a few things that can help them find Hyun-seo.
06:06The final bill is much higher than expected, and the criminals won't accept Hie-bong's offer, instead they take all of his credit cards.
06:14In the van, the brothers and sisters watch the news and find out that the fugitives are wanted.
06:18The family goes to the fumigation truck that the criminals got for them with two protective suits, a few weapons and a map of the sewage.
06:25Gang-du and Hie-bong put on their clothes while Nam-il and Nam-yo hide under their blankets.
06:30On the security check, the manager points out that this truck belongs to the company for fumigation, which was reported to him at the last minute, which is suspicious.
06:37Hie-bong throws a bag at him to pick him up before he takes the truck to the river area, and the guy opens the bag and finds a box with money.
06:44After that, the family follows the map to visit the sewage in that area, secretly looking for Hyun-seo.
06:50Sometimes Gang-du runs after the truck to fumigate it with smoke, because he wants to be clean for his daughter.
06:55After a few hours of searching, he suddenly sees something moving in the dark, and Nam-yo feels something wet as it falls on his shoulders, so they open the fire.

07:09The brothers carefully move and come to the family stand, where they start taking food.

08:33The monster immediately runs away and climbs the bridge where it caused a collision of a lot of cars.
08:37Then it climbs under the bridge, jumping around while the boys continue to shoot until they run out of bullets.
08:43The monster jumps into the water and the family notices that the soldiers are coming, so they start running away.
08:47Gang-du says he has one bullet, so Hye-bong takes his gun and tells his children to run to the truck while he takes care of the monster.
08:54As soon as the creature appears, Hye-bong tries to shoot, only to discover that Gang-du miscounted and that there are no bullets.

10:14At that moment, Nam-il finds another notebook with a password and successfully enters the system, finally finding Hyun-seo's location, the Won-hyo Bridge.

10:27Nam-il puts a clip on the walkie-talkie and throws it into the walkie-talkie, causing a short circuit that leaves the room in the dark.

11:32With the help of a bilingual dekara, Gang-do explains the situation to his daughter and how no one listened to him.
11:38At first, the American doctor asks questions as if he is interested, but unfortunately he only pretends to test Gang-do's psychological state.
11:45He concludes that the virus causes dementia, so they have to take a sample from Gang-do's head.
11:50The Korean doctor thinks this is too much, so the American doctor takes him aside and explains the truth.
11:55Donald died of shock during the operation, and the autopsy did not find any viruses.
11:59The tests on people in quarantine were also negative, so it is likely that there are no viruses at all.
12:04Gang-do is not very good in English, but he understands the basic words, no virus at all, and requires an explanation.
12:10The doctors immediately take him to the operating room, where they take a sample from his brain.

13:03Below the bridge, Nam-il wakes up and discovers that he was saved by a homeless man.

13:28Returning to Hyun-seo, she comes out of the hole to find the monster she was sleeping with.

14:23On the shore, a large crowd protests against the agent and his clothes, who are asking for Gang-do's release.
14:29Protestants are surrounded by the police and refuse to move, but everyone panics when they see the monster coming.
14:35The police open fire while Gang-do appears on the bridge, asking them to stop because of his daughter's body.

14:48The monster also starts to feel bad, and another police officer tries to shoot her, but Gang-do appears to stop him.
14:55The monster crouches on the floor in pain, so Gang-do takes the opportunity to close his mouth, finding a human hand.
15:01He immediately pulls out and frees the two children, who are, unfortunately, dead.
15:05The drone continues to throw the agent's body at the creature, while masked agents film everything and people get sick all over the place, including the police.
15:13The three brothers gather around Hyun-seo to cry for her.
15:17Gang-do finally breaks the broken sign to use the headquarters for the attack on the monster, causing him to bleed before he was thrown away.
