00:00Hello, the movie is here for a short time.
00:03Today we are doing a review of a movie about monsters called The Sand.
00:07Pay attention to the spoilers.
00:10The movie starts with some young people having fun on the beach.
00:14The cameraman records everything while they dance, kiss and have fun.
00:18A guy named Mitch forces everyone to put their phones in the bag
00:21so that no one can record their crazy night and upload the video to the internet.
00:25Then two guys, Vance and Gilbert, bring a ball of clay and say that they found it in the water.
00:31Everyone is scared but don't think much about it.
00:34The scene suddenly changes to the next morning.
00:37Everyone is sleeping.
00:39A girl named Kaylee is with Mitch while four of their friends,
00:42Chenda, Jonah, Ronnie and Vance are in the car nearby.
00:46Kaylee first wakes up and looks around when she sees a bird on the beach fighting to fly.
00:52She assumes that she is drunk, but suddenly the bird sinks into the sand.
00:57Shocked, Kaylee tries to warn everyone not to go into the sand.
01:01But when she turns around, she sees her other friend Marsha
01:04who was lying down on the bench and jumps on the sand.
01:08Her feet are behind her head and she can't move.
01:11The group is confused and Vance tries to follow her.
01:15Kaylee tries to stop him, but he doesn't listen.
01:18He falls on the sand before he reaches Marsha and gets stuck.
01:22Now Marsha is nowhere to be seen because the sand has completely swallowed her.
01:26Vance screams in pain and asks his girlfriend Ronnie to help him.
01:29While Vance is trying to raise his head, his skin and eye are pulling out of his head.
01:34Horrified, Ronnie screams his name while he is drowning in the sand.
01:38The group begins to think about how this could have happened.
01:41When they try to call someone, they realize that the phone is in the trunk of the car.
01:46Johnny tries to start the car, but his battery is empty.
01:49The group is completely stuck on the beach.
01:52Kaylee then comes to the deck and sticks her hand over the sand.
01:55We see white wires trying to reach her palm under the sand.
01:59Mitch is also surprised to see this.
02:01Just then, another of their friends named Gilbert wakes up stuck in the garbage can.
02:06He curses the guys who dragged him into the can after he was unconscious the previous night.
02:11The group warns him not to move.
02:13Gilbert is confused, but he agrees when they hear that Marsha and Vance are dead.
02:17Mitch and Kaylee go inside, and Johnny looks at them lovingly.
02:20Kaylee and Johnny were in a relationship for a short time, but she was hurt because Johnny is now with Chanda.
02:25Chanda tries to comfort Johnny, telling him that Kaylee finally found someone for her.
02:30A few hours pass, but no one comes to look for them.
02:33Kaylee finds sunscreen and gives it to them outside.
02:36Gilbert falls unconscious from the heat.
02:39Kaylee then begins to think about how this could have happened.
02:42They look around, and finally realize that everyone else who was having fun was also sucked into the sand.
02:48Just then, Kaylee notices a crumpled ball near the water and sees that it has fallen out.
02:53They realized that it was some kind of egg of a creature that lives under the sand.
02:57Like food, it eats people.
02:59Because it was born only yesterday, the creature must be small in size and shape.
03:03Kaylee makes a plan to figure out how big the creature is.
03:06She takes sausages and starts throwing them on the beach to see how big the creature is.
03:10Gilbert sees the bird that was sucked into the sand and goes crazy.
03:13He finally realizes that everything his friends say is true.
03:17The others are angry because of the sausages, claiming that it is their only source of food.
03:21But Kaylee disappears.
03:23The last sausage is not sucked, and the group celebrates, seeing that there may be an exit.
03:27But they still have no way to get that far into the sand.
03:30Johnny then enters the back of their car and takes two surfboards.
03:35He holds one on the sand and jumps on it.
03:38Everyone is thrilled when she doesn't sink.
03:40Johnny then goes to the club nearby.
03:42Just when he is about to stand on it, the surfboard moves by itself.
03:47Johnny falls into the sand for a while, and the threads from the inside of the sand enter his stomach.
03:51He manages to escape, but his stomach hurts.
03:54He finds a bag full of food on the club.
03:57He accidentally drops a banana on the ground, but it doesn't sink.
04:00Johnny taps his hands over the sand and realizes that the banana fell on the part where they lit the fire last night.
04:06So, the creature can't get out of the fire or hell.
04:09When he gets up, we see the wounds inside his stomach getting worse, and the manure starts to come out of him.
04:14He starts to go crazy, and Kaylee pacifies him, telling him to look for the bag he found earlier.
04:20He adds the juice and water he found in the bag to everyone, while he still suffers from pain.
04:24His wounds get worse every second.
04:27Johnny then tries to add lime to the bag, but the bags of manure on his stomach start to shoot.
04:33He cries from pain and lies on the floor.
04:36The surfboards on the floor are still moving, which tells them that the creature is growing and developing.
04:41Kaylee notices the connection of the thread to the tire of the car, and they try to move it.
04:46They don't have much time before the creature grows big enough to swallow the whole car.
04:51Chanda and Ronnie try to take the phone out of the trunk.
04:54Ronnie offers to climb on the hood and tries to open it.
04:58She asks Chanda to give her the letter she wrote in her mother's diary in case she dies, and slowly steps on the hood.
05:05She is ready to open the hood, but Kaylee stops her, saying that the hood will open wide and force her to fall into the sand.
05:12Kaylee gives them a rope so that Ronnie could hold her.
05:16She finally manages to open the hood.
05:18Just then, another car comes to the beach and hits the group.
05:22This falls on Ronnie.
05:23She accidentally closes the trailer again.
05:26Her fingers are stuck in her head, which is why she is crying in pain.
05:29Mitch and Kaylee start yelling at the car to help them.
05:32In the car, a police officer patrols the beach.
05:35He assumes that the group is drugged and takes them seriously.
05:38Despite what Kaylee told him to stay inside his car, the man gets out of it.
05:43The group is surprised when he walks freely on the beach.
05:47A close-up of his feet shows us that the ropes can't be tied to his shoes.
05:52The police officer comes to John and hits him with his wounds.
05:55He completely ignores his plea to help him, still assuming that the group is drugged.
06:00He goes to talk to Kaylee and insults her and Mitch because they are rude teenagers.
06:05He asks Kaylee to come out and gets angry when she rejects it.
06:09He threatens to use his spray on them, but when he tries to take it, he accidentally drops the keys on the sand.
06:15The man then hangs himself while trying to pick them up.
06:18The police officer finally realizes that the group is not legal, but now he can't do anything.
06:22Kaylee advises him to use the spray on the ropes that grab him.
06:26The spray works and manages to free his hand, but half of his hand is gone.
06:30He screams in pain and the rope pulls him again.
06:33After he is completely soaked in the sand, Kaylee takes the spray that fell on him.
06:38Now Mitch plans to use the sandals and walks around the beach with them to run through the sand to get to the police car.
06:46He believes that the police officers' shoes have been washed away and that the sandals should also be washed away.
06:51Chanda throws the sandals on Mitch, but the fence breaks when he tries to grab it.
06:55Mitch falls on the sand and the creature brutally eats him.
06:58Kaylee is fed up with this creature.
07:01She sees how the broken fence is moving on the ground and gets an idea.
07:05She breaks the part of the fence again and adds it to Chanda and plans to later use the fence as a bridge.
07:10Then she climbs on the deck and manages to jump on the car.
07:14As soon as she lands, Kaylee hits Chanda in the face and slaps her boyfriend.
07:18Chanda has nothing against it, and the two of them help Ronnie get his finger out of the gun.
07:23John, who has been on the deck all the time, tells Kaylee that he loves her.
07:26Kaylee then tells her plan.
07:29She wants to use the fence as a bridge to get to John, and then bring them all to the police car.
07:35Chanda takes the fence and puts it on the sand.
07:37She walks carefully and manages to get to John.
07:40Kaylee does the same.
07:41She is sure she is on the deck when Ronnie turns towards her.
07:44However, the wire grabs her injured arm, which is why she falls.
07:48Kaylee tries to save her with a spray, but she only manages to do so for a second.
07:52The creature grabs Ronnie and pulls her under the sand.
07:55Chanda then walks with her foot on the ground and runs to the car.
07:59She successfully gets on the deck before the wire grabs her.
08:02Gilbert starts to wave as if he is praising her, but soon after, his fence shakes.
08:08His body is cut off from the edge of the fence and the blood draws the creature.
08:12The girl begs him to hold on, but the creature gets in the way and grabs him by the leg.
08:16Gilbert starts to return the blood.
08:18Soon after, the creature grabs him and pulls him under the sand.
08:21Then, the creature shakes the car and forces Chanda to fall on the deck.
08:25She falls unconscious, and Kaylee slaps her to wake her up.
08:28A few hours pass, and now it is night.
08:31Chanda finally comes to her senses.
08:33Kaylee is still on the deck with the injured John.
08:36Chanda discovers a raft at the top of the police car and uses it to get to the deck.
08:42The three of them successfully get to the raft and the vehicle.
08:45Chanda and John are in the car, but before Kaylee gets in, a massive, shiny bat attacks them.
08:51The creature has now grown to its full potential.
08:54Kaylee sits in the car, where she finds a gas canister.
08:58She uses it to light the bat and gets in the car.
09:02Everything calms down, while Kaylee and Chanda realize that John died from his injuries.
09:07The girls hug each other and cry over the loss of a friend.
09:10It is already the next morning.
09:12A man jumps out of the car window and wakes up the girls.
09:15He sees that the wonderland has disappeared and that they can walk on the sand.
09:18The two of them walk on the sand together, traumatized, while the man calls for help.
09:23In the final scene, the creature is discovered as a huge jellyfish that can be seen in the water
09:28and goes towards the port of Santa Monica.
09:31This was probably the most exciting game The Floor is Lava that they have ever played.
